So after a disappointing previous experience in which my food was an hour late, I decided to give Chanellos another chance and chalk it up to maybe a rough day. It had been a while and I really wanted a philly. Place my order after a long day and tracker says it will be to my place, which is like not even 2 miles away, by 915pm. After calling twice, because the tracker says they haven’t even made my order at 925 pm, and again at 945 pm, I will never order from them again. If you try to order plan on cold food 45 mins late and people on the phone saying it is on the way when it hasn’t even been made. Chanellos can say goodbye to my business and my 20-25 percent tips.
Edit: just got the response from the owner after a few days.
Hi Ed, we're very sorry about this and we completely understand your frustration. We hope you called the store to speak with a manager to discuss the situation, and we hope this doesn't discourage you too much from giving us another chance in the future.
Let me be clear, I called twice and was told by staff that my order was on the way, once at the 10 min mark and again at the 30 min mark. You hope I am not discouraged from giving another chance... this was the second chance. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Your business is terrible, your delivery drivers take insanely too long, and when called out you offer lame excuses and ask for second or third chances. My wife posted negative about a year ago and the same holds true. When faced with competition whose pizza is better and as close as your facility...yes I am talking about papa johns, you should pride yourself on customer loyalty. Clearly this facility doesn’t and I will NEVER order from here again. Anyone out there thinking about pizza on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and get Papa Johns, they won’t...
Read moreI called the Chinello’s on Johnstown road in Great Bridge last night & placed a pick-up for a Large pepperoni pizza w/extra cheese at 7:15 pm. I originally asked for a small but the guy on the phone advised I could get the large for an extra 0.50 due to a carry out special that was being ran. My total came to $11.90-some cent. He pulled me up by phone # and confirmed my name b/c I order from there all the time. When I got there at 7:30 not only were all the employees standing behind the pizza rack gossiping and not paying attention I stood there for over 3 min. before a customer that was waiting for his food had to whistle at them to get their attention to let them know a customer had entered even though theres a loud bell on the door. I tell the guy I’m here to pick up my order….NO ORDER! He advised the order must not have went through b/c there was only 1 order waiting to be picked up which was not the pizza I ordered. DID NOT apologize or offer to make the pizza. I told him about the guy telling me about the carry out special and what my total was & he advised that it’s not there. Needless to say it’s almost 8:00 at night im starving I thought I was getting the hot pizza I ordered just to have to go to McDonalds b/c I was not going to sit in the store another 15-20 min waiting for them to make the pizza I ordered 30 min ago. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this location. This is the 2nd issue I’ve had with them. The 1st time I contacted the store through their website and NOTHING. NI RESPONSE AT ALL. This is definitely the worst Chinello’s location in the area. I will be ordering from the one by my job from now on. I will not support this work ethic especially when the managers don’t care to even send an apology email or anything when a customer has a...
Read moreThe pizza is good, however they can't seem to accommodate a special request.
We've ordered from them several times since moving here. My husband loves anchovies. Like...LOVES anchovies.
Each time we've requested extra anchovies. We ordered online and asked them to "Eff me up with some anchovies". They got close, but still lacking.
No problem. We'll call.
So this time we called. I spoke with a young woman. I asked for extra extra anchovies. I said specifically, "Today is my husband's birthday. He loves anchovies. I'd like the entire pizza covered in anchovies. An obscene amount. Make it like anchovy icing if it was a cake. I don't want to see any cheese. TONS of anchovies. I don't care what you have to charge, but just load it up."
We got this. Very little anchovies.
So my husband called Chanello's since this is the 4th time we've tried to get a pizza with a large amount of anchovies.
The girl who I ordered through answered.
My husband asked what we needed to say in order to get a full anchovy pizza. He genuinely wanted to know what we needed to say in order to get the desired amount of anchovies. She told us to ask for extra anchovies. Clearly that's not working. She asked if we wanted to speak to a manager. My husband said yes. We waited and then got disconnected.
So, no anchovies for my husband on...
