I purchased two dozen Ghostbuster donuts online two days ago for a 7am pickup on Halloween. I showed up at 6:45am and there were several people in line purchasing donuts. By the time I made it to the front counter, it was 6:50am. The woman behind the counter says, what can I help you with? I show her my order and tell her I was here to pickup the donuts. She asks what time was I scheduled for the pickup? I tell her, 7am. she turns and looks at the clock and then looks at me and says, what does the clock say? I'm confused, so I say, beg your pardon? She again repeats, what does the clock say? I just stare at her. She then tells me, when the clock says 7am, then you can pick up your order. By this time, it is 6:55am. I take two steps back from the counter and say ok. She walks away from the counter and goes to the drive thru window. The gentleman employee at the counter begins helping the customer who was standing behind me. I patiently wait and the smaller older lady comes to the counter and asks if she could assist me and I walk up to the counter and show her the order on my phone and tell her my name. The rude woman sees me speaking to this lady and walks over and says, What's your name? Now, I am frustrated. I sternly tell her my name again. The rude woman walks right over to the rack and pulls two boxes and slides them on the counter and says sarcastically, have a nice day and walks away. I stand there and wait because I would like a bag. She looks at me as if I am a problem and I ask, Could I please have a bag? She seems irritated and yanks a bag from under the counter, tosses my donuts into the bag and pushes them over to me and again sarcastically says, have a nice day. This was so uncalled for. This is not the way to treat a...
Read moreIs it just me or is Krispy Kreme going downhill? Krispy Kreme has been a staple in my childhood, as well as my kids and my grandchildren's childhood. Over the past could of years, during travel, I have stopped at multiple locations and at all locations the customer service is either rude/uninterested or the employee doesn't speak at all or so low that I can't hear them, as if they do not know how to interact with customers. Also at each location the coffee is so incredibly weak and flavorless. I used to purchase bags of Krispy Kreme coffee and now I cannot even enjoy a cup from the bakery. It is weaker than what we used to call "gas station" coffee. My last visit, occurring yesterday, was extremely disappointing. girl behind the counter spoke very little English and was not able to help me complete a larger purchase that I was trying to make. The manager on duty seemed too busy on his headphone set to offer any help. I walked out with a tasteless cup of coffee and one donut not of my choice. Instead of the almost $100 purchase I had intended to make. Donut case was almost completely full of the original glazed donuts even though many shelves had labels for Harry Potter donuts. I have never seen a case filled this way. When I asked, I think the employee said they were for tomorrow's donuts, even though this was about midday. I asked twice and she just whispered the same thing that I could not understand. I had also intended to buy several t-shirts but the gift case was a mess and the manager was uninterested in helping me with that. I don't want to see Krispy Kreme go downhill, I would really love for the corporate offices to give a damn, I did not grow up around dunkin' donuts but they are stealing my business from Krispy...
Read moreWhen this store opened several months ago there was a big effort to bring in training employees and support staff. That presence faded away and now the store is staffed by unfriendly, low energy, low expectation, poorly trained and poorly motivated people. I used to buy donuts for my coworkers here at least once a week. My last 3 visits have been a total disaster. The wait in the drive-through is unnecessarily long. You place your order at the speaker and may have to repeat yourself multiple times even if you are placing a simple order such as a dozen original glazed donuts. Then when you get to the service window they ask you what your ordered while trying and figure out how to scan your rewards app barcode. You better check your order and receipt before you pull away from the window because based on my last 3 visits, there is a 100% chance it will be wrong. None of the motivated and friendly efficient people who I enjoyed having a conversation with in the mornings when they first opened are still here. I will not go back. I just deleted that app. At some point the loss of business at this Krispy Kreme will match the ability of the poorly trained and supervised employees to handle. Very sad. The Dunkin Donuts across the street is experiencing a resurgence in business even though their product is...
