i literally had the worst customer service experience with a restaurant today at Wingstop. me and my husband decided we would go out to eat for a quick bite at one of our favorite places WingStop because he has to get up at 4am for work and we didn't have time to cook and eat. We get to wingstop at 7:10pm. decide what we want and place our order at 7:24pm. We ordered the 20 wings with free flavors; mild, louisiana rub, and Hawaiian. the cashier let's us know it will be about a 20 minute wait. "No problem " i replied. we sit down and read a mini newspaper they hadthere and played all the games and comics. next thing we know it's 7:50pm. my husband is getting impatient and we are both super hungry. i tell him hey i've worked at a restaurant before give them a few more minutes. 8:10pm rolls around... still no food. my husband says "what the heck, i saw that guy come in and order while we've been waiting and he just left with his food?!" so i go to the cashier with my receipt and say very politely "hey, i'm just checking on our food, we've been waiting for 50 minutes." the cashier was very nice and apologized. she asked the cook about the food and the cook replied "i never got that" and continued talking to her other coworkers. so i shout "well can you make it?" and the cashier says "yes just give us a couple minutes." i ask "well by the time we get our food, we will have been here for one hour, then we still have to eat. is there anyway we can get a discount or partial refund on our food?" so she goes to talk to the manager, comes back and says that all he could do is 5% WHICH DOESNT EVEN COVER THE TAX. by this point, i'm frustrated and totally over this. "can i speak with the manager please?" again, the cashier was super sweet, said yes ma'am and no ma'am and was the only one that apologized during this whole thing. so the manager comes up and is just standing there looking at me. i ask if i can get a partial refund or discount. he says all he can do is 5%. i'm reply "no that's not enough, that doesn't even cover the tax. can i just get my entire order refunded?" he says to me "well the check is already closed so there's absolutely no way for me to refund your money, so you will either have to take 5% today, 20% on your next visit, or just take the food without a discount when it's ready" by this point, i am absolutely livid. "so you're telling me if i want to cancel my order and walk out that door empty handed without any food, you cannot give me my money back?" he replied "yes ma'am, that's correct. i can't alter the check because it's already closed, but i have your receipt number and your name written down in my office, so when you come back next time i will make sure you get that 20%". i feel like i'm fighting a losing battle so i just take my food and the 20%. but i mean seriously, this isn't even legal??? you can't withhold someone's money from them that they paid for a service that they never received??? so i called corporate and filed a complaint. the manager in corporate that i spoke with is mailing me a $15 giftcard. there was a lady that was standing behind me while i was at the front complaining to the manager. as i was walking out of wingstop, she stopped me and said "were you able to get anything rectified with corporate, because i saw how careless the manager here was to you. i'm so sorry that happened. i'm going. to filing a complaint on them as well. i had to wait 10 minutes to even be awknowledged and order my food. all this staff is doing is horse-playing, while the manager sits back in his office letting them do whatever they want." i just really appreciated this lady for stepping up for me and supporting me. it's a shame that only her and the cashier made me feel reasonable during this experience. after i use my $15 giftcard and 20%, i will NEVER eat at another...
Read moreFirst off, let me say that the store is amazingly decorated. The aviation theme is really cool. The place was also very clean despite being pretty busy. The two ladies working the cash registers both had a pleasant demeanor. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the manager. She was very curt and unprofessional. She also was not wearing any food service gloves or a hat or hairnet, yet was front and center dressing the wings. I would later find out she is the store manager, unbelievable. After waiting almost 25 mins for my food, which in all fairness was the preparation time stated, a tray was put on the counter with my 12 Cajun wings by one of the cashiers. I informed her that I wanted it to go and she cordially apologized. However, this was fortunate as I was able to see my wings looked a little under sauced, with quite a few wings having bald spots w absolutely no sauce. The cashier addressed this w the manager, at which time she very snidely stated to the cashier that she did them correctly and something about the portion was adequate. Then she asked the cashier what I wanted her to do about it. The poor girl up front had the same quizzical look on her face as myself, as if we both were dumbfounded at this manager's lack of customer service. The manager then grabbed some sort of portion cup and put a paltry amount of sauce in it and told the cashier to make sure I knew next time I would have to pay for a side of sauce. I was in disbelief. I had not been rude and was simply asking for what I believed I had payed for. I don't like to make a scene, and do understand how chaotic kitchens can be, but I was quickly getting agitated. The only saving grace was that at roughly the same time a very tall gentleman seemed to be arriving to work and happened to be a supervisor of some sort. Without a second thought he immediately came over to see what was wrong, as my body language probably indicated my displeasure. It was like night and day, he listened to me, apologized with out any excuses went back to an employee and gave a simple instruction, and just like that he swapped my order out w a fresh package of properly sauced wings. He very sincerely apologized one last time and thanked me. Sad thing is he was probably reprimanded for excellent customer service. Overall I would definitely go back, the Cajun wings (that actually have sauce on them!) were probably the most flavorful "hot" wings I've ever had. Still, I think the leadership is a little lacking at...
Read moreI was visiting VA on 7/24. I will not be going back to this particalar wingstop location in cheesapeake VA. The food was made horrible. The food i received from this particular location was nasty. The fries and corn was burnt. The chicken was old and nasty. I placed an online order and waited 30min to pick it up. Immediately I called on that date. I walked to an in-store manger, he was rude and disrespectful and told me to call corporate bc he said he wasn't gonna do anything about it. The next day. I decided to call again and another manager picked up and she apologized and gave me the options of getting the money put back on my card or making food over again. I choose, the money back on my card. She said it wil tke 2wks. I never received my card and I been calling corporate ever since that date. After 4 ticket cases. I finally got a call and almost a yr later I got a call back from this guy named Daniel, I try to explain the situation, but he was rude and disrespectful to me. He told me the next time I came, he could do something then but couldn't give me back my money. I told him that I was just visiting and I can't come back to VA bc I live in sc. And that I wanted my money back on my card, like I was told before by his in-store manager. He claimed he doesn't have in-store managers. I told him im have to sue him or go through my credit card company to get my money back. He told me to do what I have to do. I recorded the conversation and will continue to take action to get...
