My wife and I found this gem of a coffee and lunch spot during a recent trip from philadelphia to cape cod. We googled nearby places to eat while on the highway and enjoyed great lunch which was reasonably priced and exceeded all expectations. We had the butternut squash soup, Tuscan wrap and chicken salad. They were better than good. We also got some bakery deserts for the Road. The food, price and service were enough to justify a very strong review. This place deserves special attention beyond that. The setting inside is bright, really comfortable and clean. Appealing music plays overhead. And these are very. nice. folks. Those who work there, including Gary appear to really enjoy the place and to actually like interacting with customers. The owners husband was helping bring food to the tables and stopped to chat for a while too. We enjoyed the whole experience. This place stands out for all the right reasons. So Much so that my wife and I planned it so we could stop here again on our return trip home. And we did so earlier today, this time for a late breakfast which included a breakfast wrap and bagel with spreads. And a donut. And a cookie for later. The teas were nice and hot and the spiced chai was worth the calories. Little touches included the patch over the opening in the cup lid to keep the teas hot. Gary recognized us from our first trip. We also chatted with one of the managers. And we watched and saw that the staff treated all the customers the same as they were treating us today and as they treated us during our first visit. This is the kind of good comfortable friendly satisfying cafe that we would all like to have close to where we live. It's disappointing that we don't. Give this place a try. You won't be...

Today was my first visit with my mother, and I was surprised to find such a nice atmosphere inside. The sign outside makes it seem the place would be a bit drab, but this was not the case at all. It was busy, atmospheric, and cozy. There was ample outdoor seating and dogs were permitted to sit outside.
I got the caffe au lait (pistachio) and it was pleasant. I still felt it was a bit expensive ($4.70 + $1 tip), but the service was very good. My mother got a decaf iced latte and absolutely hated it, but when we asked if we could exchange & pay any difference, they were extremely open & understanding. My mother very much enjoyed the mango smoothie. They also have many food options as well as coffee paraphernalia for sale.
I especially liked their link to the local community; they had multiple business cards displayed and community items posted around. They seem to have their finger on the pulse of Cheshire, and many people seem to regular the spot. I would go again if I were taking someone around to experience the town, it was wonderful to enjoy the sun over a flavorful coffee and partake in conversation.
They seem to have extra parking in the back, as the front lot fills up quickly. It can be difficult to turn into, but...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could. I’m super disappointed in this place as of today. I’ve been coming here for years I don’t know if the ownership changed but the service was horrible. Ordered a sandwich for dine in, sat down- 2 min later it’s on the table, half cooked- asked the woman politely to fix it and she just looks at us, takes the plate- brings it back 30 seconds later with the corners (that were unmelted cheese) cut off, hot as hell from the microwave. Also got a frap that must have been blended for 1 moment bc every sip had a whole espresso bean coming up the straw. Being we were the only minorities dining in at the time I can’t help but believe they were just trying to get us out as quickly as possible. I work in the service industry 10+ years and know that the manner in which the food came out was rushed, lazy and careless, and the behavior when asked to fix it was rude. It also was NOT busy at this time and I would understand if it was. Called back to let the woman know how unsatisfied we were just to give her the benefit of the doubt so she can fix it for her existing customers or at least apologize and she told me “I’m busy running my business- you worry about yours” won’t be back but I’ll most definitely be giving my $ to Tony’s Coffee Express...
