These people keep deleting my post, and I hope it gets seen before they take it down but I will keep putting it up over and over again. Michael Winters is the owner of Chicken salad Chick in Creve coeur. He also owns two other stores is Chesterfield the other one I'm not sure of. The general manager of the Creve Coeur location her name is Drucilla Marshall. My son, who is 20 and her step son for the last 19 years works there also. She also worked there with her husband. All 3 of them lived together. My son started living with his dad in 2015 until present date. I still see and talk to my son all the time. Let me wrap this up ... DRUCILLA MARSHALL OR May go by her maiden name MANUS is and has been having sexual relations with my son, her stepson who she has called son since he was young!!!! They ran off together. She fired her husband who didn't want to work their anymore because of the humiliation.... He had to move out of his house, and now my son and his step mother are in love and carrying on this sick relationship. I know my son has been groomed and brainwashed his entire life with her, just like my son's dad was. I was never ever allowed to talk to my son's father, I had to go through her... And she is so controlling, manipulative, and so fake!! I called another store to speak to the general manager there to see what can be done because this is not an appropriate work environment! No owner should have a general manager who sleeping with an employee who is her step son while her husband works there! And they had been together 19 years!!! I was even honest and said I think she's over paying him from stories my son would tell me how much tips and stuff he makes there. And I'm like WHAT?;?! YOUR MAKING THAT MUCH MONEY AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT?!?! LIKE $24 AN HOUR HE SAID IT AVERAGES OUT TO. so the g.m. at that store.said oh my gosh wow we will take this seriously, I will call the owner right now Micheal winters and he will be calling you. 3 business days went by.... No call. I call the same store back to get an update and I am told I AM NEVER ALLOWED TO CALL ANY OF THE STORES EVER AGAIN OR GO INTO ANY OF THE STORES!!! FOR ONE I NEVER BEEN TO ANY STORE. FOR TWO I CALLED CHESTERFIELD STORE TWICE ABOUT THE GENERAL MANAGER AND MY SON IN THE CREVE COEUR LOCATION. I WAS SO CONFUSED I SAID WHAT? HOLD ON, ME??? WHY NO ONE HAS TOLD ME ANYTHING. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME.... I NEED THE OWNERS NUMBER SHE HUNG UP ON ME. WELL LITTLE DID MICHEAL WINTERS KNOW THERES EMPLOYEES AT THE CREVE COEUR STORE WHERE THEY BOTH WORK THAT FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE SITUATION AND AN UNKNOWN PERSON I WILL NEVER NAME GAVE ME MICHAEL WINTERS STORE OWNER NUMBER. As someone who has been a loyal and frequent customer of Chicken Salad Chick for years, itâs deeply disappointing to be writing this. Iâve continued returning out of genuine love for the food and brand, despite repeated incidents that have left me feeling disrespected, unwelcome, and quite franklyâgaslit.
The first major issue arose when I was abruptly told I could no longer order a kids meal. This took place in the drive-thru, where there is no context for how or for whom the food is being purchased. The justification given was that the âownerâ decided this was no longer permitted, and I was effectively policed for how I choose to spend my money. I found this presumptuous and alienating. I order the kids meal because the portion is smallerâhalf a sandwich, a small drink, and less waste. Denying that reality, claiming it's the same portion size as a regular meal, is simply false.
After I voiced my frustration, General Manager Kayla Bass reached out and kindly confirmed that I could continue ordering the kids meal. I appreciated her taking the time to address the issue, but unfortunately, the treatment Iâve received since then has made me feel increasingly uneasyâlike Iâm being watched or singled out.
During my next visit, I clearly ordered a "Fancy Nancy" kids meal. What I received was a turkey sandwich. The receipt matched what was givenânot what I asked for. When I went inside to correct the mistake, I was met with defensiveness and condescension. The staff insisted I said "turkey"âa blatant gaslighting tactic that disrespects my intelligence and honesty as a customer.
Still, I gave this location yet another chance, hoping things would improve. Today, I asked specifically for a cup of Chicken Poblano soup and a cup of mac and cheeseânothing to do with a kids meal. I was told my total would be at the window, which already felt suspicious for a simple two-item order. When I opened my bag, I discovered they had given me potato soupâwhich I never requestedâand again, the receipt showed what they chose to ring in, not what I actually said.
This is not a one-off mistake. This is a pattern of behavior that feels intentionally undermining and dishonest. It is gaslighting in its truest formâmaking me question what I said, experienced, and ordered. Itâs unacceptable. The inconsistency, the attitude, and the false pretenses about policies make it abundantly clear that this location does not value my continued patronage.
This is not just about foodâitâs about principle. And at this point, I am simply done with this establishment.
Original: I have been a frequent customer here for years, I probably go a few times a month. Today when they gave me my card back they told me that I could not get the kids meal anymore and that the portions are the same. First off, we are in the drive thru. You donât know where I am going with this food. Who are you to tell me what I can and canât order off your menu? Second they are not the same portion sizes. When I get the kids sandwich I get half a sandwich as opposed to the full sandwich. I end up throwing the other half away and that is wasteful. I also get a small soda as opposed to paying $3 for a large. They told me they are a franchise, and the owner isnât allowing it anymore which is your prerogative. I guess the owner rather have no money than some because I wonât be back and if I am you better be checking IDs for me to not order a kidâs meal.

   Read moreIt only takes one person (the manager / owner in this case - all the other staff have always seemed to be pleasant) to ruin something. We went in a few months ago for the owner to make the comment to us that our grandson always causes havoc when he is in there. Well most kids with ADHD do cause a little havoc at times but he has never broken anything and when we get our food he sits and eats with us, plus they have never had to clean up after him as he normally doesn't make a mess but when he does I make sure it is cleaned before we leave. So now, with the thought the owner may have been having a bad day at that time. we decided to try it again tonight just for the order to be wrong and the food to have gone downhill. I asked for toasted white bread to get home 20 miles away to find out wasn't toasted as asked, the Classic Carol tasted like it had a ton of salt dumped in it, and the Fancy Nancy to have mushy rotten grapes and apples in it. I enjoy a good chicken salad every now and then, but I can guarantee we will NOT be getting it from here anymore. It is a shame too, as we used to eat here at least 3...
