There is a first time for everything so they say..... So, I’m genuinely sad and upset about this.... I don’t recall ever posting a negative review for anywhere but this really has me upset for three reasons but before I go on my little rant I’d like to mention the convo with the gal that answered the phone was polite neither she nor I carried any kind of attitude with each other So a matter of “don’t shoot the messenger “ . So, First being that the STUFFED chicken Marsala happens to be my favorite meal not just from Olive Garden but is truly my favorite from any place any where of all time and now they decided to only discontinue the stuffing part..... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !? May as well discontinue the whole meal then bc I mean no one likes a tease........ Second is this has been on the menu since I can recall and the stuffing makes the meal worth the money otherwise it’s just chicken breast with mushroom sauce....I was just told that the kitchen manager advised her that they don’t carry the Ingredients anymore .... ummmm right..... provolone, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, crushed red pepper, breadcrumbs, sour cream and sun dried tomatoes....there’s no way an Italian restaurant doesn’t have the mentioned ingredients and if for some crazy reason they don’t have one of them im sure their experienced culinary manager could have sorted it out as it was made for me only a couple weeks ago which I told the gal that answered the phone today. Lastly, is the insult to my intelligence of which I find offensive to have been told “they don’t have the ingredients” (insert eye roll ). If i didn’t know better I’d say the real reason the kitchen manager or whoever is in charge back there wouldn’t make it bc it was 12:45 when I called to place the order .....so ....lunch rush and they probably just didn’t want to. Side note I was a cook in the army and helped manage a kitchen and foh staff at a restaurant for several years and even on our busiest day(typically mother’s day) and even if it was discontinued we would have still made it If we could especially if it is a customer that is known to order that particular item....every time.... ugh end rant novel...
Read moreMy boyfriend, his friend, and I went to the Chesterfield location roughly a week ago. This was, by far, one of the MOST entertaining times I've had at any chain restaurant, all thanks to our favorite waitress, Donna! So let us set the scene a bit. The three of us stroll in, and we were, I suppose the only way I can say it is "greeted," by a less-than-enthused man who had the "end of shift" attitude (you know, where everything is nearly an inconvenience, rushing you to hurry up, etc). My boyfriend immediately gave me the, "let's just leave and go somewhere else" look, but I ignored him, and we took our place in the tables. It was at this point that we were greeted by our amazing waitress, Donna! I, not looking like I was even close to 21, ordered a glass of wine, and she noticed immediately that I am a WI resident originally from my license. She began to make small talk regarding the area. I remember specifically that she "fake-swore," and I immediately told her that we were a light-hearted group and we didn't care in the least. I believe that, from this (as well as the fact that we were poking fun at my boyfriend), she pegged our group right on the dot. Throughout the rest of the course, she joked around with us all, to a point where I was CRYING from laughing so hard!! She was one of the most entertaining waitresses ever. We were so impressed, we left a nice tip as well as a note for her (which I have never done for ANY waitress/waiter before).
Overall an INCREDIBLY fun and entertaining time with Donna as our server. I really hope that the next time we go out there that...
Read moreStopped in for a quick lunch with the hubs on a Saturday afternoon in between the usual suburban weekend errand run. Was 'un'greeted by the young hostess and seated quickly as the restaurant was at about 50% capacity. Seated in the back of the restaurant with a party of 8 a few tables over. We looked at our menus, decided on our drinks and meal, then waited, waited, waited, and waited some more. 20 minutes later, another table of 3 seated across from us, were greeted by their server within a minute, drink orders obtained. In this 20 minute time frame, we observed one waitress serving the table of 8 towards the end of their meal, a busser clearing a previous table, another server, wiping down another table and another employee walk-thru. No one checked in on us and no one bothered to really pay attention in our direction. Perplexed my husband wanted to grab the attention of a server to get our party started but at that point, there was no salvaging the blatant ignorance. We quietly got up and walked towards the front door to exit the restaurant. A gentleman was standing near the hostess stand, dressed in management attire, looked at us with confusion as he must have noticed us entering and leaving quite soon. We have no idea what the food quality was on this beautiful Saturday, but can imagine it was delicious. The patrons visible to the staff looked happy and full. I post this review as a cautionary tale to future patrons rather than a cynical one, but take it however you will. We chose to dine @ the Chick-fil-A across the street and it was our pleasure to be...
