Well, I was quoted a price of $18 for picture frame glass 8x10"... $18. What? No thanks. I didn't point out that I could buy a brand new cute frame for $10. Anyway, the part of this trip that could have been better? When I got to the check out, my item rang up incorrectly and the cashier called someone to help. I told the person where the item was and about the 3 labels showing a price different than the ring up price, and she went to investigate. Well, she came back with a totally different item and said that was the one on sale (not the same cost as the one on the sale label). Nope! So, after explaining to the person about the original price and the sale price, this person was not willing to make this correct/ right, so I decided to just pay the extra $2.50 - not the end of the world, I realize this - but I was terribly unhappy about how the person handled it. After I paid for my purchase I went back into the store and pulled one of the sale labels from the shelf and took it back to them at the checkout and then I left and I will tell you, I will be using Hobby Lobby from now on. No thanks to people who don't know what they're doing, but try to convince you they do. IMO, that store was was advertising different pric3s than what was being charged. I'd call that false...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI needed a custom matte for a diploma I wanted to frame & made an appointment on line at Michaelās in Chesterfield Valley. Upon arrival I was told that the staff had no clue about appointments for framing services (their website and my email confirmation notwithstanding). Regardless, two people tried to help and took over 30 minutes for them to figure out the simple math of what size to cut the matte. Eventually they got the order in & said it would be ready some time after 4:30 that day. I had evening plans so I returned the next day to pick up the matte. The same person who helped with my order couldnāt find the finished matte & couldnāt explain the delay. At that point I had had enough of this clown show (no disrespect to clowns intended) and asked for my money back. No apologies or even acknowledgement of the lousy customer experience. And, it took several tries to even get the $$ returned to my credit card.
On a positive note, I took my order to The Great Frame Up on Clarkson. The matte was cut and they matted my diploma & assembled the frame for me, all in less than 10 minutes total. And they charged me less than half of what Michaelās charged.
Iād give Michaelās a ā0ā if possible & wonāt returning to their frame...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was a very nice visit the last time I went into Michael's store in Chesterfield. It was nice to see that they have brought in more of their signature items into their stores! They also brought in more of the scan and go machines help you pay out for your products faster. However, I like to interact with the cashier, and compliment on how their day is going while he/she is checking me out. I used to work to work in retail and in a fast food chain store, and I know the stresses and joys of working on the other side. I want to, however see more of crafting storage for your crafting papers and tools, 4" X 6", 5"X7" dies, layering stencils, refillable acrylic tape dispensers that are colorful and can hold the various sizes of your adhesive, and washi, tacky tapes. Pre-Cut MDF craft products that parents and children can paint, or use stickers to create gifts or memories! I would also like to see a brand like Sixxix come along side and sell their manual, and electronic die cutting machines in display in which you can either order them online or have a few in stock in your stores! Sometimes, as I say, I get tired of ordering things like this and praying it gets to me in one piece! Keep it...
