Came in Tuesday 10/12 7pm for custard after nice dinner at 54th Street Grill and Bar next door. Ordered mini concrete with allowable two mixins. Menu board says $3.79.....was charged $4.09. POLITELY brought it to manager's attention....he ABRUPTLY responded "I'm not going to argue with you....here's 35 cents!" He acted like I was being petty. One , I wasn't arguing....two, I expected him to thank me for bringing it to his attention and apologize for the error Some customers won't return over 30 cents.....I'm not one of them. I AM one who won't return when management lacks professionalism and empathy towards customers. Then after our custards were taking over 15 minutes to come out to our table, I had to go up to the counter and inquire. Manager started stressing out and scrambling looking for my order. (I think they accidentally "bumped" my order off the order board......it happens in every restaurant.....I've managed many....but it's a CARELESS and AVOIDABLE mistake) So our custards finally came out after 20 minutes...the manager brought them out and quickly apologized as he was running away from our table.. Then he sends out an employee with bag with burger and fries in it....I guess it was the manager's way of "smoothing things over" I took the bag up to the counter and said "no thanks....I just had dinner".....(by the way, our dinners at 54th Street came out quicker than the 20 minute custards at Culver's) The custards were very good....only reason this visit got 2 stars instead of zero......service poor.... UPDATE: REALLY EXPECTED A RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER OR MANAGER.. it's...
Read moreMy first time visiting a Culver’s and I was very happy with everything I had. When it comes to faster food restaurants some feel a burger is a burger… Well if you think that you probably are not the person I am speaking to here. So for those of us who truly appreciate a good burger and know there are levels of quality, let me tell you Culver’s stands up there.
At the low end of the burger world there is the noted steak house of the Golden Arches. That is a survival burger when there is nothing else out there. Then you move into the self proclaimed royalty burger establishments where the king is all about the flame and the queen really focuses on frozen desserts. Now from here is where Culver’s pulls away.
Here you can enjoy a loaded burger with crisp vegetables hot and juicy when you receive it and great crinkle fries. This may sound like a five star fast food review and yet I did not give five. A great burger and fries meal is not perfect without a fantastic fountain Coke. Yes Coke not nasty Pepsi. I am truly that much of a Coke snob. It really makes or breaks a place and if I will go back or may not dine in so I can stop and get a good drink. If I could get a Golden Arches fountain Coke at Culver’s… Oh yes five stars. If you can stand sub par drinks with your meal than you are set.
Oh but wait the frozen desserts, so good! I went simple with a raspberry Sunday and it was delicious!
If you haven’t been, go and I am guessing you will not be...
Read moreWhen ordering my food everything went okay. I asked if they had pup cups, the other location on Manchester does and I was told no. It wasn’t that they didn’t have them it was the way the lady responded like I was asking about something unreasonable. Not no I’m sorry or I’m sorry we don’t do that here. When getting my food I asked if I could have ranch and bbq and was told I would have to pay extra for a second condiment. With a burger and a side for just under $12 I would not expect that but again ok. Getting home opening my burger and getting ready to eat I thought they had left off the condiments. For some reason they were under the burger. Again not a big deal but the over all experience together was not good. The people working there were not very nice and for the price I expect that the lettuce gets put where it should be. With another Culver’s maybe 10 minutes away that goes above and beyond on their customer service and satisfaction, this location is going to need to do better. I will be driving the 10...
