Shake Shack Chesterfield — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Update: still pretty expensive and still not a great experience. I thought I would give it a second try, and I went inside this time. Order took about 12 minutes (better than before) but they forgot my fries and my water. I was going to have a beer and enjoy eating in, but they HAVE NO WI-FI. People are nice, but just not particularly well-run. Had they’ve been willing to share the Wi-Fi, I might’ve had a beer. Which they do sell. But I didn’t stay long without wi-fi so I cannot review the quality of their beer or what it is. PS, the tomatoes on the sandwich were tiny, and the bun looked substantially smaller than the picture. Still better than Burger King, but …. Note: The cash register requires you to select something regarding a tip before it will accept your credit card (annoying at a fast food) but they do actually have to bring the food to your table though because it takes longer than most fast food places so some tip may be appropriate even though it’s still clean your own table style fast food.

Wow, this place is expensive! So I’m guessing it must be good? Not really anything special, despite me waiting years to go to one. It’s maybe as good as Freddys, or a little better than Burger King, but certainly for the money places like Culver’s seem to provide equal or better food at much lower prices. The service took quite a while as well, as I waited about five minutes in the drive-through line with no one in it. Maybe they’re still trying to figure out how to operate the store but it has been several months since they opened. The burgers are excellent!! Perfectly crisped around the edges and wrapped in the wax like wrapper so that if you are driving you can still eat safely and neatly!! Best burger I have had in I do not know how long!! We just tried the chicken bites yesterday and definitely sooo surprised at how the breading and meat were beyond delish!! Actually better than most sit down restaurants!! They put the Chik Fil A nuggets to shame!! I highly recommend!! Now for the friendliness and accuracy of the order, now that leaves alot to be desired. I know from experience your staff is a direct reflection of the owner and the management!! PERIOD!! When a customer drives up to the drive thru window and you are met with the manager having a unfriendly face and the staff having more attitude, that is a huge problem!! Come on guys, if you are working how about smiling, being friendly and professional! If you loathe people and the public don't be employed where that is your position. I will never get it. Having worked in the public, it should be your goal to make it a great and accurate and friendly atmosphere and transaction!! It takes more energy to be rude, unfriendly and unprofessional!! First timer at Shake Shack this evening. Not only was the food (and shakes) delicious but the service was great and fast! They were packed so we were worried but we were surprised when we quickly found a table and our food was delivered not long after. There was an incident where an employee accidentally dropped a tray and it slid off the counter and hit my back. It was empty and I was not hurt so no big deal. But what happened after will stick with me forever. The manager quickly came over to apologize and said he would rectify the mistake made by the employee. The young man who dropped the tray came over visibly flustered and embarrassed and apologized. He went to his manager and I watched this man comfort this boy and assure him that it was okay. I could tell the boy was so upset but this manager treated him with so much compassion and it just warmed my heart. I love seeing things like this and love seeing the youth work hard, take accountability for their actions, and superiors coaching and treating their employees with respect.
