Is it tough to give a review like this to a place that I once appreciated. However the service of Ms Renee lately has been pisspoor. My kids hate when I say I’m going to Jenny’s. They have said since their first time there that it was not good food except the beignets. But I continue to go. Last month I switched from my regular 3 pieces of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast to try French toast. The toasts were bland and almost like the bread was dipped in egg and milk minus the cinnamon sugar etc. I told Constantine the bus boy when he came by my table. He asked if I wanted more I said no. Renee came to the table and I shared that I did not enjoy the French toast. She began fussing as she printed the receipt that u should have told her in advance so that she could have them remade. I told her I didn’t want them remade. She continued to fuss as she handed me the receipt, almost as if her grandmothers recipe had been insulted. Finally my daughter said, “We told that man!” We left. I said maybe I don’t need to go back ever. Then I said give it another try. Today I bit into the bacon and shared right away with Renee that the bacon tasted as if it may be going bad. She offered me more I declined. She then shared that there was a table of four who had the same thing and hadn’t complained. I looked over at a table of 80 year old white men. I asked for my bill without the bacon. She printed it then walked over to the men’s table and asked loudly if they enjoyed their food specifically the bacon. I paid the bill and departed promising never to eat here again. Her attitude the last two times...
Read moreWorst dining experience I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Service, food, service recovery were all lacking. We waited for almost an hour for breakfast and it arrived at room temp. The waiter spilled the hot coffee directly out of the pot all over my husband’s hands and table. Even that wasn’t then comped. We were told there was a new cook, as the overcooked omelet and pancakes yet not toasted English muffin demonstrated, but this did not excuse other factors we experienced. Witnessed bare hand contact with food from the waitress and cook. Staff went from cleaning tables to service and plating with no hand washing or gloves. Never received the beignets we ordered. We were told something happened to the fryer and then I witnessed beignets in the line to come out as we walked out. The restaurant then closed while we were there due to a family emergency. After overhearing the waitress apologizing to the patron next to us about the wait and explaining there was a family emergency, the man replied that they need a new cook and that there was a family emergency last Sunday as well. I cannot believe that this establishment has a 4.4 rating. I would never go back or recommend...
Read moreWe arrived around 10am on Sunday. Waited about 10 min to be seated. Not busy. We ordered our drinks, they came pretty quickly. Maybe about 10 min later the owner, I guess, came and took our order. Told her it would be 2 separate tickets and she told us that we have to split it up when we pay. Not really a big deal. We all order and just 1 of our party members said he hadn't decided yet. She told us that she can cancel all of our orders because she had other customers to get to. What kind of owner talks to customers like that? THEN we wait an hour for our food to come out. But lots of call in, door dash, etc orders were going out fast. Not one time did any wait staff come over and ask if we were doing ok and no apologies for taking so long to get our food. A few people walked out( who came in after us). If you can't communicate to your customers, kindly, you probably shouldn't be running a business. Your business depends on customers. Food was decent for a good price, just didn't care for the demeanor of the owner Oh, and also found a roach on the...
