âI was excited to try The Butter Chicken Spot after hearing about its concept. Upon walking in, I was impressed by the atmosphereâthe interior is very inviting, clean, and has an appealing aesthetic. âHowever, the positive first impression quickly faded. The menu was confusing, especially the combo options. It seems they have a rotating selection, which is fine, but it wasn't clear what was available. They could greatly improve this by simply adding labels in front of the hot food bar. I also found it odd that Chicken Tikka Masala wasn't included in the combo but was an entree. âWe ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Korma, and were told to expect a 10-15 minute wait, which was no problem as we knew the food was being made fresh. After about 10 minutes, our Chicken Tikka Masala was ready, but then we were informed they didn't have the Chicken Korma we ordered. I was baffled as to why it took ten minutes to tell us they couldn't make it. We asked for a recommendation of something else, and the staff suggested another dish, the Chicken Curry. A minute later, she came back and said they couldn't make that either. At that point, we just asked for a refund. âTo their credit, the staff was very apologetic about the mix-up. They gave us free donuts in a sugar sauce and promised our next visit would be better. The Chicken Tikka Masala was okay, but it didn't stand out. Honestly, Saffron's down the road still has the best. âUltimately, I was let down by the whole experience. I had hoped for a truly good meal but was met with confusion and poor communication. While the staff was nice, the overall execution of the meal was poor. I probably won't...
Read moreThe butter chicken spot is the spot to go to if you feel like authentic Indian food on the go. Donât let the âon the go part â give you the impression that youâll get anything less than what youâre going for. I ordered the (2 entrees and rice+ naan) plate $15 -unless you get the up-charge items- I got vegetable Pulao rice and the premium protein (lamb karahi). And of course since itâs my first time, I had to get their butter chicken. The staff were helpful and the lady did a good job explaining and going through explaining how the butter chicken spot work. Butter chicken was a good choice to get and start with, the seasoning was there and the flavor too, subtle seasoning that carried the butter chicken and the rice was working perfectly either way the chicken. The other entree (the lamb) was a great choice too. The lamb was so tender and almost melt in your mouth. You could cut the meat with the fork. The seasoning and flavors were spot on and the sauce was so creamy and delicious. The down side was the naan. It was a little dry for me but when dipping it in either entree, youâd be good. Iâm glad to have such spot close by that would work perfectly at any time you feel like it. I would recommend anyone to go and try them and I will most...

Charges and cost - little disappointing.
This was our 2nd time there, and didnât notice the xtra charges the first time. We ordered a combo #1 (board says $10 for rice, one protein and naan) had 2 combo #2 (board says $15 for rice, 2 proteins and naan). Somehow my bill came to $50 and some change. When I looked at receipt, I was charged $1 for naan on each meal ($3 total dollars). We were charged $1 for the potato (pulao) thing we got in place of the second protein. Then I was charged a $1.47 credit card charge. When I brought that up to the lady, she just ignored me.
So needless to say, very disappointing on the extra charges that clearly arenât stated on the big orange board.
Buyer beware of charges! Again, food is really good and good portions but very disappointed in the charges that are...
