I love trying local pizza. Sometimes you find a diamond in the rough, sometimes it's horrible, and sometimes it's...meh. Well, in MY opinion the pizza was...meh. It wasn't bad. I can't say it was bad pizza, but it kind of tasted like frozen Digiorno Pizza. I got the large pepperoni with the slightly thicker crust. It was cut into squares for some reason. I didn't taste any sauce at all but I really liked the cheese and pepperoni, but they make it where the pepperoni is kind baked of under the cheese where you can't see it, which I hate because I can't really taste it and the crust had ZERO flavor. Like...absolutely no flavor at all. I don't need a bunch of fancy spices and herbs like Pizza Hut offers, but I want the dough to taste like pizza dough. This tasted like a thick Imo's crust...which means...cardboard. I'll probably give them a second chance and order their thin/regular crust, but if I'm gonna get a thin crust pizza I usually prefer to just get an Imo's pizza. I also ordered Toasted Ravioli. They tasted EXACTLY like the frozen one's at the grocery store. Again...not BAD...just not fresh, good local fried toasted ravioli. It just tasted like they took frozen toasted ravs and baked them. So far I have tried almost every local pizza place in West County and the best I've had so far is either Boardwalk Pizza or Faraci's Pizza. Boardwalk's Pizza is New York Style, which I have come to like as my favorite type of pizza. Boardwalk's Toasted Ravioli is also the best I've EVER had besides Cyberg's or Mama Toscano's on The Hill. Faraci's has great pizza too but it is brick oven pizza and sometimes I just want doughy chewy crust. I hate to give bad reviews but 3 stars isn't that bad. They need to change their dough and add more pizza sauce and I would give...
Read moreThe website says they open at 4:00 and we arrived at 4:25 to find the door locked. This establishment also doesnât post hours on the front window. There have been times when they have been open at 4 and others when they werenât. We were able to get the manager to come out and speak with us and were told they wouldnât open for another 30 to 45 minutes. We mentioned the incorrect website and were told they donât update the website. We were also given the usual staffing excuse that seems to be so prevalent these days. I get being short staffed or having employees that flake. What I donât get is the nonchalant attitude towards general business practices. All of this could have a been a moot point if the conversation with the manager hadnât degraded into general condescension. Thatâs when we decided we were done with this establishment. Thereâs a million other restaurants out there, I wish this one the best luck but we wonât be coming back. I would direct one suggestion to the owners and that is if you want stay in business you should probably decide when you will be open and pass that on to your customers via your website or on your...
Read moreLooking for a decent place for pizza and wings, don't come here. The pictures of the food on the website is the exact opposite of what you get. The Haus Website claims fresh ingredients and dough made daily...no it's definitely not. I'd dare say this pizza is a marked up knockoff of IMO's or Cecil Whitikers pizza. I did complain to the establishment, but all I got was a worker and no manager to be found. They explained to me that the website hasn't been updated in a long time, so that's the reason for sub-par false advertising on their part.
Business 101...sell what you actually advertise. I've read the other reviews for this establishment and mostly are positive, but if they received the low quality travesty called food that I got, they would change their rating in a heartbeat. Never this...
