This was our first time at this Thai restaurant. This place is kind of in a unassuming spot because it's located next to a gas station in a very small plaza. However, I think this is what makes this restaurant unique and kind of hidden for the people that are willing to go and look for good food no matter where it is. My wife and I got a few dishes for dinner and I have to say right up front that the portions were fantastic. You easily could feed two people from every entree. To start, I got a Thai iced tea which is kind of like a sweet tea but with half and half and it looks different than how you would normally drink iced tea. But it was very good. For appetizers we got the Thai dumplings, they were filled with a meat mixture that was very fluffy, seasoned very well, and the outside wrapper was very crunchy. Our second appetizer was a shrimp mermaid which was a tail on shrimp that is wrapped in a thin pastry dough and fried. This was the only dish that we really didn't like and the reason for this was not because we didn't like the flavor but because of the preparation. The shrimp was not cleaned properly and it still had its mud vein which I talked to the chef's husband who is one of the owners and he informed me that this is how the chef /wife wanted to prepare it. However, this is just something that just doesn't sit well with me. We then got three entrees. Our first entree was chicken pad Thai which was fantastic. It was sweet, savory and was not made very dry which I appreciate because the sauce in the pad Thai is the best part. The second entree was chicken drunken noodles, we really liked this dish. It was spicy, smoky and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Our third and last dish was chicken Thai fried rice. The rice was cooked perfectly. It had a really nice smoky element to it and tasted super fresh. My wife and I kept going back to this dish because it had this quality that we couldn't stop eating it.
Thai iced tea - 4.6/5 Thai dumplings - 4.8/5 Shrimp mermaids- 1/5 Chicken pad thai- 4.3/5 Drunken noodles- 4.6/5 Thai fried rice- 4.8/5
I also want to take a second and talk about the service. The owner who also runs the front of the house was fantastic. He was attentive, engaged with everybody in the restaurant, and overall had a great personality for the type of person that you want to be the face of your business.
Overall this restaurant rates at 4.5/ 5, food is great, the service is awesome, and the value you are getting for the money that you spend...
Read moreThe food is easily a 5/5 but the service is a 4/5.
The food is absolutely amazing. Everything we have tried has been delicious with huge portions.
The main issue is everytime I order I'm told a time for pickup and consistently have to wait 15-20 min when we go to get it. The other day when we picked up I arrived 15 min after the time I was told and then still waited another 15 min.
I read a review that they only have one wok and can only cook single stir fried dishes at a time..this makes sense because the one time we sat and ate my partners food took over 10 min longer to come out after my dish did.
We continue to pick up food here because it's phenomenal and we want to support a local small business. I would likely get food more often if I didn't have to make sure I had an hour-plus to kill between ordering and picking it up.
Edit Updating review. Food still is amazing as always. The major gripe I had about speed of service has been addressed. While they still deal with the issues of one cook in the kitchen and the speed of turning out dishes. They are much better at communicating how long orders will take and have adjusted their dine in policies to help alleviate the problems.
This place is a gem in the area and still some of the best thai food...
Read moreI love supporting small businesses — especially when the service and food is CONSISTENTLY Thairiffic!
Steve is always pleasant when I come in. I get a great aura from him. His energy is unmatched from other businesses. He’s helpful and I’ve never had a problem with my order.
Their Thai tea is also THE best. I wish they sold it by the gallon. It’s so delicious!!
My husband and I have tried most of their appetizers, curry dishes, pineapple fried rice and pad Thai. Pad Thai was the only thing we didn’t like (which could be a food preference thing, we’ve never had Pad Thai before).
I wish I could comment more on the curry dishes…but it’s been so long - I don’t remember my thoughts on each!
All I know, is that I fell in love with the Panang Curry - served with Jasmine Rice (+ Shrimp!) It’s a nice balance of spicy and sweet. The drunken noodles is our other “go to”. So yummy!
The location is convenient - you can get gas & dinner in 1 stop! Their decor adds a nice touch to the experience. The name is genius - I love me a good pun.
I love telling my friends how Thairiffic this place is! Try the...
