Came here for the first time yesterday with a friend and everything was so delicious and the staff members that were there 01/02/25 from 12:50pm - 4pm were so accommodating and made the experience amazing. I was so excited to come back today with my sister and was completely caught off-guard with the customer service today 01/03/25. We walked in, not greeted by any staff, so we seated ourselves. Once seated for a while, we then came up and asked for menus. After deciding, we came back up to order and being that I was not asked to pay right away yesterday, I was under the impression that I would have the same treatment today in the case that we added more items while dining in. I asked if we could pay when leaving and was abruptly scorned by the blonde lady who then asked if we planned to add more items. We said yes and then went back to our seats. My sister received her panini and simply asked if it could be warmed up possibly in the microwave or something just for a few seconds. The waitress said “Sure” and headed to the back where we then overheard a man say, “No. We cannot heat it up.”. The waitress told us that heating up the sandwich could potentially ruin their equipment. We did not make any fuss and thanked our waitress. Then shortly after, the same man we overheard came out from the kitchen area and just stared at my sister and me which was weird and uncomfortable. I am super disappointed by the complete contrast in customer care between yesterday and today from different staff members. To the two young ladies who took care of me and my friend yesterday (01/02/25) as we sat there for hours and enjoyed our experience, thank you so much for setting the standard of quality service and customer care. I hope that your leading by example may shape the etiquette of your fellow staff members to make customers feel more comfortable at this cafe. Hoping that if there is another visit, it will be much better than today’s.

What a wonderful time I had with my friend at Perla! We decided to stop by for some breakfast before heading to Blue Mountain Resort. We saw that it was nearby on Google and it looked like just the vibe we were looking for. I love the flowers surrounding the facade. The inside was equally cute with a modern look and a grass wall. It was a bigger space than I thought. I feel like they could fit more tables without it getting too cramped. We went to the front counter to check out the menu and who seemed like the manager helped us out since we were indecisive. I tried the Chai Latte and substituted the whole milk for oat. My friend had a coffee. I really wanted a waffle and they usually close the kitchen by that time but thankfully they let us order food. They were also nice enough to make me a side of eggs even though they only make it in sandwiches. My friend had mini pancakes and it came with a good amount. The lady who helped us was extremely accommodating and so nice. She told us they opened recently. The food came out quick. Everything exceeded our expectations. I wish I lived in PA to go back! They should open a location in NJ.

I was really excited to try this little shop but was highly disappointed. We ordered a shaken espresso and two burritos. When we were ordering we were told they were out of several things, which at the time wasn’t a big deal. First issue was with the espresso. After waiting for 15 minutes for the drink, I realized there was a drinking sitting up on the counter. After seeing the staff bring drinks to other people, I assumed the same courtesy would be given to me but when I went up to the counter and asked about the drink the girl behind the counter gave me attitude and stated she called out the order several times. After taking my drink, the staff brought drinks to several other tables. Don’t get me wrong, the coffee was excellent but the service was terrible. Second issue was with the food. We waited over 30 minutes before realizing how long it was taking for the food to come out. Several other tables were given their food after coming in after us. A table of 3 next to us had been waiting since before we came in and asked the staff how long their order was going to be. After being told 10 more minutes, they decided to leave and get a refund. After waiting another 15 minutes, we finally went up to the counter and asked how long it was going to be until our food was ready. After being told another they would check, another staff member came out with the wraps in to go containers. We didn’t ask for the food to go so I’m not really sure why it came out in to go containers. I completely understand having a backed up kitchen and short staff but if this was a known issue, it should’ve been communicated to us when we were ordering the food, rather than stating it would ‘be right out.’ In terms of the taste of the food, it was only luke warm when we got it. The eggs tasted and looked as if they weren’t seasoned. I hate being a ‘Karen’ about situations like this because I understand the service industry can be unpredictable but my issue was with the lack of communication, lack of empathy portrayed by staff, & lack of courtesy. Don’t forget the price that we paid (over $40) for 2 burritos...

Perla deserves nothing less than 5 stars! I visit this establishment multiple times a week and they have never disappointed! The decor is cute and modern along with the fact it is always very clean throughout the café as well. The staff is always friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. The drinks are always well made and the coffee specifically is exceptional in taste with it being a smooth and mild blend that isn't too overpowering. Their food is always fresh with high quality ingredients in which you can definitely taste in whatever you order from the menu, which honestly I have never been dissatisfied by any of their sandwiches or breakfast items nor have my coworkers and friends. They did a wonderful job when I had to place a large order for lunch for the co-workers in my office. There were multiple iced drinks ordered and when I arrived they had all the cups lined up and labeled and then they proceeded to make the drinks so that they would not sit too long and become watered-down, which right there is a simple yet large gesture that shows they want to provide their customers with exceptional quality and service.
