Sauce — Restaurant in Chestnuthill Township

I have been waiting for Sauce to open forever, so I was very excited to order dinner this evening using takeout. My husband went and ordered in person (to ensure it would be hot to take home, rather than order on phone). First I'll start with what we ordered. Garlic parm wings Onion rings West end burger MMM meatball dinner 2 Canolis .... $53.00 total, we thought that was fair,and everything was good. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because my meatball dinner did not come with the creamy ricotta and parm cheese. I opened the box to my surprise only meatballs and pasta. I was so let down only because I've been waiting for them to open what felt like forever. I called to let them know what happened and a gentleman Joe listened to me and was very nice. He took down my information and said I would have a restaurant credit. I thought that was fair enough. I understand it was very busy (and I'm happy for them for that) we will be back (we are locals) and all I would like is a meatball or two with that sauce. I don't want a full meal, not necessary. So all in all everything (besides my sadness 😔 of no sauce😉) was delicious. The wings cooked perfectly with garlic parm sauce, the onion rings with blue cheese sauce all delicious. My husband said they cooked the west end burger to his perfection and was delicious. My meatballs were on point, so moist and seasoned wonderfully. The pasta was a bit overcooked for me, I like mine more, Al dente. And finally, the Canolis were out of this world good. I would recommend to you to try this place and just repeat your order back so there are no disappointments. We definitely will be back. Good...

Tried this place for the first time. Ordered an eggplant parm amongst other items totaling $104.08. Pick up the order, sitting down with my family and they gave me chicken parm. I call them back. They say they'll make the eggplant parm. I drive all the way back and they want to charge me another $17 for their mistake. The Karen behind the counter comes out and insists we screwed up the order which is impossible because I'm a vegetarian. She pointed to the kid next to her and said, "He knows what he heard. I'm not just gonna eat this." You are now! And I walked out and went over to Spinelli's because their food and customer service is always above par!

To the rude owner that responded. The person that ordered my food did not make a mistake. I was standing next to him when he placed the order. He said, " What do you want?" I said, "Eggplant parm." So guess what he said? I'll let you ponder that.

You were extremely rude, unpleasant and confrontational. I already paid for one wrong meal so your solution was to charge me for a second meal because you finally got it right? Oh a discount? So I get to pay twice but the second time around I get a discount. Save your 10%. You're clearly hurting.

I told a co-worker about my experience today. Apparently she had one similar. You gave her daughter the wrong meal and when she brought it to your attention you told her she must've misspoke. What's it like to constantly make mistakes but never own them? Only...

My husband and I grew up in the area, moved out west for 25+yrs. We came back to town for a visit, friends were raving about Sauce! Armed with several glowing reviews from family and friends we went to Sauce with HIGH expectations.

Sauce didn’t disappoint. We ordered the meatballs and penne. Growing up in an Italian home , we know true authenticity. The meal from the cheese down to the pasta was made with fresh, homemade (not Sysco) ingredients. The meatballs were tasty, perfectly sized, and melt in your mouth delicious. The sauce was delectable. You can see and taste the fresh ingredients. Not overwhelming with garlic, or underwhelming hunts/ragu can sauce. The consistency, texture and taste is a true delight for an Italian palate. We considered staying in town 2 hours longer than planned, to grab lunch at Sauce tomorrow before heading to Philadelphia.
