Wing Hwa — Restaurant in Chestnuthill Township

There was awhile that I wasn't happy with this Chinese restaurant because they were overcooking a lot of their food pretty much everytime we went. I have to say that every time I have gone to get Chinese food in the last year, I now pick this business bc they have really started to care about making great Chinese food again. When I call in, I do always make sure to say, "Please don't over cook things," just out of precaution, but I honestly think they must have either gotten a new cook, or maybe they are now focusing on making sure every order is done right, and cooked perfectly. I have to say that I am very impressed by the changes they have made to make their food and customer service better.

I would recommend this Chinese food restaurant over any other Chinese food in the area bc it has been the local Chinese place since I was a child, and they improved their food dramatically in the last year. They used to have amazing food and for a couple of years it went downhill, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY NOW IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN WHEN WE WERE KIDS! (now meaning since 2023-present)

I think as long as the owner keeps telling the cook(s) to make sure every plate comes out right and as long as they keep doing what they are doing to make sure every dish is delicious and cooked to perfection, they will continue to be the #1 Chinese food place in this area. I have changed my review to 5 stars again bc they really do deserve it now that they have made a huge effort to make quality chinese food again and to address the concerns of their customers, since a lot of us locals noticed things were not tasting as wonderful as they used to years ago.

I think if you had a bad experience in the past few years, maybe you should call the owner and explain that you want to give the food a try again bc you heard they have improved and see for yourselves what I am talking about...but so far, since last year things have definitely changed in a good way and it is our family's choice again for Chinese food anytime we are in the...

To those still Riding that Wing Hwa train spreading that lie that it's the best in Area please hop off. 4 times I have ordered and 4 times they have screwed up this last time the Female Owner took my order, she hurried me off the phone.....had me waiting for my food that was “Ready” then it was wrong...... again. I asked for Veggie fried rice got pork and boneless spare rib tips were burnt again and had pieces like burnt pebbles throughout. Chicken and broccoli was supposed to be spicy and we got greasy....NICE and lastly crab rangoon borderline burnt definitely overcooked! Perhaps a customer service and reading course are in order. They suck. Point blank awful, never again Go to Star Garden save yourself the trouble. This is the 4th time not once or twice and they were not busy less you count fixing another order since another guy was in there waiting for his food...

If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an order and there were multiple things wrong. My food had string in it, my mother’s food was burnt, and there was no sugar on our sugar donuts. I contacted them and they told me to bring it back. I told them I won’t do that and would like a refund. They refused my refund and I told them I would contact the board of health. After about 5 minutes I got 3 calls from the manager. Even after I sent her proof, she refused a refund. She was very unprofessional and stayed in denial even after I sent her proof. After I knew I was getting nowhere, I told her once again I will be contacting the board of health and hung up. She then began calling my phone multiple times again.
