I enjoy Applebee's. Just not in Cheyenne. The food is not what should be expected and they seem to always be out of something or other. Although I always sit at the bar. I have noticed that the servers seem to be more interested in horseplay and flirting with one another. I recently asked to speak to a manager about my experiences and was approached by a young man who looked too young to even have a job. He did not pay attention to my concerns about the quality of service I had recieved. Mostly bad quality food and dirty dishes it was served on. He seemed to be more interested in flirting with the bartender with remarks and statements that were for all to hear and not appropriate. The bartender who also made explicit remarks that one might hear in an adult film. She also seemed to be flirting with everyone which is always my observation with her when I eat here. She is kind enough on the eyes of course, yet she heavily throws herself at every guy whether or not he is there with his family I have even heard her discussing meeting up with them at the hotel next door after she gets off work. This seems very unprofessional to me and maybe someone should have a look at the inner workings of this place. Also all the employees seem to smell heavily of Marijuana. Also the young "manager" I had spoken to didnot even acknowledge my concerns. Instead he said he appreciated me coming in. As he walked away he continued speaking to the flirty bartender with words better not said openly in front of the establishments guests for all to hear. Well I regrettably ate here again last night and am disgusted about the service and the management enough that a day later I write this. The overly too flirty bartender was there again and seems too flirty with some other guy to even remember what I had ordered. She apologized but now flirting with me as if that would make me forget about bit. Instead she just made me really uncomfortable and now I have decided that I will never visit this Applebee's ever again. I will not be recommending to anyone and will instead warn others. If you want an ok place to eat. This is not it. Unless ylu like poor service, poor food, poor management, and a bartender that seems to be more equipped to be working at a low class gentleman's club where at least it is expected to be treated so by a woman. Instead of feeling uncomfortable from unexpectedly being hit on after just telling her about my wife and family 10 minutes earlier. I feel disgusted by...
Read moreMy husband ordered the southwest chicken bowl. The chicken was ice cold, the pico that was served with it was frozen and had ice flakes all over it, AND the lime slices that were served on the side were brown and absolutely disgusting. I ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken tenders, my Mac and cheese had absolutely zero cheese sauce, and the sauce on the tenders tasted like straight maple syrup. When I asked for more cheese sauce our server interrupted me before I could ask for the cheese sauce and said “yeah baby I’ll bring you the sauce” and ended up bringing me the sauce for the chicken tenders. When we brought up the issues regarding the bowl my husband ordered she took it back, and made a new one but at this point our appetites were ruined. I asked about the cheese sauce again and she said “the meal was 86’d” and she wouldn’t be able to help me. As someone such as myself with customer relation skills and experience working in the food industry I can understand food shortages, and staff shortages as well, however, I would be more than willing to offer another alternative for a cheese sauce, such as alfredo sauce, since my son literally was eating chicken Alfredo next to me. The waitress took off my husbands meal, and then told us she couldn’t add military discount because she already had one discount on the ticket. Last time I checked, when you comp someone’s meal because it can give someone food poisoning that isn’t a “discount” that is actually removing it completely. She also said “you being in the military should be able to understand why I can’t apply the discount” What? Needless to say we won’t be back, but after all, what can you expect when you sit down in an Applebee’s for lunch before Black Friday shopping. Hopefully they get it together, for the sake of this place staying afloat through...
Read moreAs a lifelong Cheyenne resident, I've been to this Applebees quite frequently, and overall, all my visits have been pretty good. I can't remember any visit that has been bad or turned me off from the restaurant. The food has always been good, and they rarely make mistakes on my order, and that's not a biased statement based on this restaurant being one of my favorites. I always order burgers when i eat here, so i'm quite acquainted with their burgers. The burgers are really good and well portioned as well. The fries are also good, and I'd go as far as to say their fries are some of the best in Cheyenne. I will also say they have good long island ice teas for those who like alcoholic beverages. As far as service, I've met and had many servers over the years, and each has their own way of doing things, but overall service has always been good. I will talk a bit about my most recent visit, which was on Mother's Day. It was kind of a hectic day at the restaurant, and service took a bit longer, as it was really busy during lunchtime. My order came out a bit wrong, but I'm not going to be too harsh on the server because his friendly service was pretty on point. The food was hot and fresh, so that's always a plus. It wasn't the best visit, but it wasn't bad enough to alter my opinion or the overall rating of this restaurant. I definitely look forward to my next visit and I'm sure things...
