I ordered the New Yorker through the mobile app with Italian sausage on all of it, half mushroom, half pepperoni. When the pizza arrived and we sat down to eat, I opened the box and there was barely any toppings on the pizza!! It might as well have been a plain cheese pizza for the lack of toppings. I called the store and spoke to a manager. She didn't know the procedure so she got her boss on the phone. Neither one of them bothered to apologize or ask how to make it right. I had to ask for a refund. The manager's boss said in order to get a refund. I had to bring the pizza back. WHAT??? I told him they were just going to throw it away anyway. When I mentioned the skimpy toppings, he told me that was corporate's policy to go skimpy on toppings. I demanded a full refund and he told me that he would have to talk to his boss. He put me on hold then came back and said the only way I would get a refund was if I came back with the pizza and I would only get half my money back. Pizza Hut has lost my business because of this. They are located perfectly 5 minutes from my home, so I can order when I am going home from somewhere, and just pick k it up along the way. They have yet to screw up my order, and I would recommend them to anyone. The only reason it's not a 5 star is the company's fault. They charge too much for delivery, and it doesn't all go to the delivery driver. It ends up costing the driver their tips, and Pizza Hut didn't do a darn thing. It gives the company about $2=$3 per order for offering delivery. If you add that up with all the deliveries. You can see how much pizza hut makes on delivery orders. The driver puts all the wear and tear on their vehicle, not to mention higher insurance, for an average of $3 per delivery if you include their tips. So I place my order then get a text saying doordash will be delivering my pizza. Originally it says my pizza will be here at 2:15pm no big deal. Then using the tracker provided I continue to watch my delivery time change. So I call the store. Oh there is nothing we can do. I am not the manager and she is not here. She will call you back.
