Bacci Pizzeria — Restaurant in Chicago

Food is pretty good, but the customer service is AWFUL. I have been here multiple times and I get attitude every time I'm here from all employees. I'm always tempted to challenge employees and ask for the manager but it wouldn't solve the problem and my coworkers prevent me from escalating a situation.

I ordered a large order of mozzarella sticks for our table and got a single, small cup or marinara sauce. I went to the counter to ask for another cup of sauce and they told me I had to pay for it. That's like paying for ketchup, are you kidding me? Why would I get the same amount of sauce for an order that's double the size of the original order?

I placed an online order which offered a regular at a lesser price and a double for an up charge. I picked up my order and had received a regular size not a double. When I called to inquire, the counter staff immediately knew of the issue and stated that they don't offer a double so they were confused by my order. Again, I paid more for the item. Never did that same counter staff mention it to me upon pick-up. Clearly they could have addressed it with me in person and properly credited me for the improper upcharge. I ate here with the 1$ ritual promotion deal and had a giant slice of cheese pizza from Bacci. The deal was awesome, glad they participated! Their pizza isn't going to be the best thing you've ever tasted or as good as NY dollar slices, but it's not bad and comes in a massive size. Their sandwiches are also pretty decent I've heard from others, though not tried myself. A lot of the reviews say the workers were rude, and I can see where they come off as abrasive, but honestly I think you just need to not expect them to hold your hand, let them do their job, and be calm about it.
