Rating: â â â â â (5/5) Review: My recent stay at the Hyatt Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I could tell that Hyatt lives up to its reputation for delivering high-quality service, comfort, and attention to detail. Whether youâre traveling for business, leisure, or a special occasion, Hyatt offers an experience that truly feels elevated and well thought out.
Letâs start with the check-in experienceâseamless and efficient. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, courteous, and professional. They made the check-in process quick, offered helpful information about the hotel amenities, and even accommodated my early arrival with no hassle. Itâs these small touches that set a premium hotel apart.
I stayed in a king room, and it was immaculate. The design was modern, elegant, and functional. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with soft linens and plush pillows that made it hard to leave in the morning. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like built-in USB ports, blackout curtains, a spacious work desk, and a large flat-screen TV. The bathroom was spotless and well-stocked with high-quality toiletries, soft towels, and great water pressure in the shower.
The amenities at the Hyatt really elevate the overall experience. The fitness center was well-equipped with cardio machines, weights, and yoga matsâeverything youâd need to keep up your routine while traveling. The pool area was clean and relaxing, with comfortable seating and towels provided. If youâre traveling for work, their business center and conference facilities are also top-notch and very convenient.
One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site dining. Whether youâre grabbing breakfast, a quick coffee, or sitting down for dinner, the food is consistently fresh, well-prepared, and offered with excellent service. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffetâgreat variety with both healthy and indulgent options. Room service was also prompt and delicious, which is always a plus after a long day.
Throughout my stay, I was continuously impressed by the level of service. Every staff member I encounteredâfrom housekeeping to conciergeâwas warm, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making my stay comfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate requests and made me feel truly valued as a guest.
The location of the hotel was another major advantage. Whether youâre exploring the city, attending a conference, or just looking for easy access to local attractions, the Hyatt is typically situated in prime, walkable areas. I had no trouble getting to nearby restaurants, public transport, or entertainment venues.
In summary, my stay at the Hyatt exceeded expectations in every way. Clean, quiet, beautifully designed rooms, outstanding amenities, delicious food, and staff who truly careâitâs everything you could want in a hotel experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and consistency during...
Read moreI stayed at the Hyatt Place Chicago/Downtown- The Loop for a week, planning a retirement party for my father, who served as a police officer for the State of Illinois for 32 years. The Capital One travel platform had great reviews for this hotel, which is why I invited multiple people to stay in this hotel with me.
However, one morning, my partner and I went to quickly bid farewell to some family members staying down the hall. When we returned to our room, we discovered our key card wasn't working. Understandably housekeeping wouldn't let us in so I went down to the front desk. I was barefoot, dressed in my pajamas, without a bra, and with unbrushed teeth, but thinking I could return to my room quickly.
After waiting for 5-6 minutes for a new key, without any word from the staff, I inquired about the delay and to my surprise, was informed that there was a balance on my account due to the parking fees. This was a mistake on Hyatt's end because I had prepaid for my stay, and the person who assisted us with check-in had assured me that my credit card was not required. This was bad information apparently which created the balance on my account. Obviously, standing there in my pajamas, my credit cards were not on my person, but the front desk staff was unwilling (or unable) to make me a key so I could get into my room.
I was still barefoot, in pajamas, without a bra, with unbrushed teeth, and now embarrassed trying to figure out a way to pay so that I could be allowed in my room. It wasn't until my partner arrived in the lobby, confused about what was taking so long, and pointed out how inappropriate it was for the staff to demand payment at that moment that the supervisor allowed access to the room. The entire ordeal lasted 20-25 minutes of me being inappropriately dressed and uncomfortable in the lobby. (For context it was 50 degrees and raining outside, so the lobby was old and the floor was wet.)
Of course, I immediately got dressed and came back downstairs with a card to settle up the issue in the system but the damage was done.
Although the staff has been helpful and kind in the past, I felt that they prioritized the hotel policy over my comfort and dignity this morning. I'm angry and humiliated, and I believe that the customer service this morning was below par and I believe that something should be done to...
Read moreMy husband and I booked this hotel for our wedding block in early August of 2022.
Overall, I may have been expecting too much and was let down in the end. I've seen all the reviews for hotels and Pinterest/Instagram pics where hotels go above and beyond for wedding blocks, but we got none of that. Nothing. Even the nail salon that I booked my bridal party at greeted us with a basket of roses and complementary beverages. I know this makes me sound "entitled", but as a bride-to-be, I had been given certain expectations that simply were just not met.
If you're looking for a hotel for business purposes, or travel, then sure, this place will fit you just fine. If you're looking for a hotel for a special event, this is probably not the best choice.
Thank you...
