BenjYehuda - Wells — Restaurant in Chicago

Food is great but service has gotten worse over time. Staff are lazy. Don’t bother walking in 15 min before close or they might be “all closed up for the day” regardless of what the sign says or when you walk in. Kind of ridiculous for a counter style to-go restaurant where they would be done making the order before close.

I’ve been coming here since their first location opened on Van Buren about 10 years ago and this was my last time getting turned away, I’m done with Benjy. Prices have gone up, hours are shorter, and staff is much lazier.

Other places are still open and want to make you food, you are better off eating...

I have been eating at Benjyehuda for a long time. I used to go to the LaSalle location until I changed jobs to a building across the street from this one. It's always clean, whether you are take out or dine in. It's spacious, well lit, and comfortable. The food is truly some of the best and I can never skip the fries. But, my favorite part of this location is the staff. They're always so kind, welcoming, and warm. I know my week will be made anytime I drop by. Thanks for providing great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and somewhere I can expect the same amazing experience time...

Fast and healthy Mediterranean food right in the theater district. Being vegan I went with the falafel bowl over rice and lettuce. Like the now defunct Maoz chain you can ask for as much of all the sides as you want included in the price! Along with the spicy falafel (it’s got a nice kick and isn’t greasy at all) there’s cabbage, pickles, shredded carrots and cucumbers, corn salad, red onions, lettuce, humus, babaganoush…. all included!
