I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombay Eats in downtown Chicago, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. As someone who doesn't frequent downtown often, I am truly glad I made the decision to visit this hidden gem.
First and foremost, let's talk about the food. The flavors at Bombay Eats were simply outstanding. Each dish was prepared with utmost care, resulting in a culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The food was not only hot and fresh but also wonderfully seasoned, showcasing the skill and mastery of the chefs. The flavors were robust, authentic, and truly satisfied my cravings for Indian cuisine. Whether you're a fan of mild or spicy, Bombay Eats offers a range of options to cater to various palates.
What impressed me even more was the fast-casual concept, similar to Chipotle. This setup is a definite plus if you find yourself short on time but still want to enjoy a delicious meal. The efficient and streamlined process ensures that you can savor your meal without any unnecessary delays. It's a great option for those seeking a quick yet satisfying dining experience.
I must commend the staff at Bombay Eats for their quick service and friendly demeanor. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The attentive staff members were more than happy to assist with any inquiries and made sure that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Their friendliness added an extra touch of comfort, making me feel welcomed and appreciated as a guest.
Overall, Bombay Eats has won me over as a loyal customer. If I find myself in the city again, I won't hesitate to return and relish in their delectable offerings. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine, fantastic flavors, efficient service, and a memorable...
Read moreWent for the first time today. Got the Bombay Salad and Samosa wrap. The wrap was DELICIOUS and was extremely delightful! The salad, however, does not share the same sentiment. I opened the small container of salad dressing and I INSTANTLY smelled rotten eggs! Passed it around to my coworkers who had been there before and they also were extremely repulsed and said that that was disgusting and that it was spoiled. I called the restaurant (I ordered the food and walked 2 blocks back to my job before opening for consumption) in hopes they remembered me, and told them that the dressing was rotten. . . .their response? "Oh no, I can assure you that smell is normal. It smells like rotten eggs because of the masala seasonings we use. It is safe to eat, I can assure you". -_- The manager said he would give me a refund but the food was not spoiled. I just trashed the dressing and gave the salad away to a coworker. If I hadn't ordered the salad, this would be 5 stars, but how can you sell a salad dressing that smells like ROTTEN EGGS?! No wonder the salads were fully stocked.
Samosa wrap was DELICIOUS though. Just will never be ordering a salad from...
Read moreI was there once so this review suffers from the pitfalls of low sample size. With that out of the way, the first thing that's sort of annoying is that their menu had very few items on it. In my case, they were out of the bread that goes on a lot of their entrees a good 3 hours before the closing time which made the menu even more limited.
My biggest gripe was the server who seemed displeased that I was in the store at all. Everything he did from taking my order, answering any questions I had, to making my order was done in a begrudging manner.
Maybe the dude had a bad day and I feel for him in that case, but my experience there left me feeling unwelcome. The food itself is something you can get frozen at any Indian store and...
