Really bizarre experience. My family and I were waking, exploring downtown. When we got in the moood for bubble tea and stopped by as we were right in front. As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us, they were kind and polite and took our orders quickly. The teas were absolutely top notch, I could tell they made it with focus and attention. I really enjoyed the lychee tea. Now here’s the strange part- the shop had no air conditioning. It is hot and humid out and these staff members, customers and people waking in are completely drenched in the heat. There is like one fan for the employees and that’s it. How bizarre. Apparently the AC had been broken for the entire summer and keeps breaking. So here’s what I did- I opened the door so there could be some ventilation in the store- the employees said thank you and showed kindness. I come online to see the reviews… and there are some bad reviews just like anywhere else- but then you see the owners respond “it’s probably the employees that messed up your order”. Shocked. That’s how you handle negative feedback? By blaming your employees? You’re lucky to have them in the first place, your neglectful ownership and treatment of people should NOT go unnoticed. Hold OWNERS accountable, don’t let employees take the fall on their behalf. I will be keeping an eye on this. And my family witnessed this whole shindig too, get your act together and provide air conditioning for your employees who are working for you. Be a better...
Read moreUpdate Bubblelicious was kind enough to explain and offer me to come to their store to try the drinks again. Maybe there was some misunderstanding about the powder. I think Bubblelicious watching the comments and responding represents how they cares about their product and reputation, so I am sure they will continue to improve and deliver great drinks in the future! I will give them 3 stars for now, after I actually tried their drinks again, I will come back and update this review again.
This is the worst bubble tea I've had in my life. Too sweet with no tea flavour. I ordered the classic Assam tea latte with boba. As a Taiwanese, I could tell it was wrong when the clerk got the tea from the fridge. Most good boba tea places would have hot tea shaken with ice to get it cold. Furthermore, the store had milk in plastic lock-lock containers but not milk boxes. My "milk tea latte" had floating milk chunks in the tea. Asked the clerk about it, and she said it was "normal, the chunks are from the milk powder." "You have to shake harder." LOL WHAT? Tea latte should be made from REAL MILK. I took a sip and it was so bad I didn't want my girlfriend to drink it. She insisted and regretted immediately. We threw away the whole cup (minus 2 sips) in the trash can just across the street, so great placement for...
Read moreMy experience at the boba place was rather disappointing. The vibe seemed off, lacking the lively atmosphere you'd hope for in a boba shop. The workers appeared disinterested and unenthusiastic, which definitely impacted the overall impression.
However, there was one saving grace - the taro drink! It was absolutely delightful and worth trying. The blend of flavors was spot-on, making it a highlight of the menu.
One major drawback was the lack of seating or a chill-out area. The place was strictly for takeout, which made it inconvenient if you wanted to enjoy your drink on-site or spend some time with friends.
Moreover, the aesthetic of the place was quite lackluster. It didn't have the cozy or trendy feel that many boba shops offer, which somewhat dampened the overall experience.
Considering the underwhelming ambiance and limited amenities, I found the prices to be rather steep, making it difficult to justify the expense for what was ultimately an average boba experience.
In conclusion, while the taro drink stood out as a recommendable choice, the boba place left much to be desired. The lack of a welcoming atmosphere, unenthusiastic staff, no seating area, and underwhelming aesthetics made it feel like an average boba spot, not worth the price. There are likely better boba places in...
