Skyline Chicago Limo — Local services in Chicago

I've been a customer with the Limo service since May 2021. I mainly use their SUV Lux, and Stretch Limo services and have had a handful of drivers. So, I will be grading and and basing my review around that.

SUV Lux: I first used this service for a interstate round trip of about 5-6hrs and it was relaxing and comforting. Now, I mainly use this service for short point to point trips or, errands totaling 2-3hrs.

Stretch Limo: I use this service when I'm going to be out for 3-8hrs or more. Sometimes point to point, depending on the activity. Or, If I want to transport my large dog, since she can lay on the floor and stretch out. Lately, mainly been using it to go out to shop and eat, but as the weather warms. I will be switching to more outdoor activities. I prefer this service, since it's comfortable, private, and I can unwind with a drink after a long day.

Service: Willing to accommodate request, can accommodate short notice trips, correct mistakes, and remembers and values their clients. The cars typically have Kleenex, drinks(limo only), music, privacy request, water.

Drivers: I've been assigned a handfuls of drivers by now, for the most part, most were professional, a few not so much. I'll expand on the bad parts in the next section. I've had drivers put the bags in the back, get the door and ask if I needed anything. Drivers have also been useful in recommending nearby locations, conversating, and generally being accommodating to my needs. I have a ton of disposable income, so have been interacting with the drivers more. Some drivers have been helpful in picking me closer, or getting me closer to drop off locations, that I otherwise wouldn't have thought of, while a few drivers have been noticeably annoyed. The stand drivers for the SUV Lux would have to be Vlad, and it's always a delight every time I have him as my driver. Alternatively, for the Limo, my favorite driver would have to be Marius. These two drivers have been standouts among their peers, and have the most professional work ethic. It's always a delight working with them.

The Bad: Service can be inconsistent depending on the driver. As mentioned in the pervious section. Had a rude limo driver, that was noticeably annoyed, and ended up driving over the curb in the limo, which was alarming, since I'm paying for a comforting experience. Luckily I haven't been assigned that driver again, as I was afraid we may crash. Had a SUV Lux driver get back in the car and refuse to open/close the door, which I did find a bit offensive and rude. Since I'm paying for a chauffeur, not a Lyft. That one, I did call in, and won't be matched with that driver again. Outside of those two incidents, most of the drivers have been great or neutral. Limo Privacy screen doesn't work sometimes, but when I inquired about privacy, They were willing to accommodate me by getting me a different limo with a working privacy screen or put a privacy curtain in the limo I typically take.

Overall: With these 5 sections. I gave 1 star for the drivers, 1 star for the service, 1 star for the Limo/SUV Lux, 1 star for the two stand out drivers, and 1 star for the accommodations. I took 1 star away for the two bad drivers, and I took another star away for lack of privacy screen. However, I added half a point back, for them willing to accommodate my privacy screen request by either getting me a different limo with a working privacy screen or putting up a privacy curtain. I also added another half point back since they gave me discount for not having the privacy screen and making sure I don't get matched with rude drivers. All in all the total rating comes...

Hopefully an isolated incident. My experience with Skyline has been flawless 3 of 4 trips. This last one, though -- yikes. Guy was on time. Quick with the bags. Courteous. HOWEVER, the driver had no qualms about breaking wind twice -- and it's possible the cars behind us even noticed the smell. First time, whatever, accidents happen. Had to roll down the window. Figured he'd noticed I'd done that and was properly chastened. But no. Fifteen minutes later, again with the stink. Really not cool. Made me miss my usual guy they give me when I fly out early. If Skyline is looking to distinguish itself as a cut above an Uber Black, I'd highly recommend they can any driver who farts his passengers to...

As a first time customer of Skyline everything went very well and exceeded my expectations! Skyline kept me well informed and even accommodated an adjustment in the plan. The chauffeur was ahead of schedule, very courteous and polite. The SUV we signed up for was new, very clean and had comfortable leather seating with a great smooth ride! The drive in to the venue was well before the agreed time. Afterward, as planned, we met up with the chauffeur at the specified place and time with no issues!
