Delicious meal. We are visiting from Florida and braved the freezing, windy walk to get to this restaurant and it was totally worth it. Just FYI for families with kids or elderly - if you are out if towners there are elevators to bypass the stairs to get to this area where the restuarant is located. Its surrounded by other little stores and what I assume to be apartments and a park. Limited street parking. We were greeted and seated immediately. Very clean, modern decor. A chalkboard over the bar indicates bar menu, wifi password, soups of the day and more. Nice Latino music playing had me jamming while waiting more our meals. I got Eggy’s Breakfast Sandwich which consisted of - "Fried egg, bacon, red onion jam, mixed greens, herb aioli on a bun and served with Eggy’s potatoes". For the kiddos got the chocolate pancakes. I also got a hot chcolate to ward off the chill of the walk over. The food was brought out in a reasonable time. That sandwich qss amazing, the first bite with the running yolk had me hooked. The red onion jam really set it off as well. Well cooked and all the food was hot and fresh. Their pancake syrup was tasty as well. The hot chocolate was served with what tasted like freshly made whipped cream and it was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely return. I want to try the french toast and I'm not even a french toast type of girl.

Visited 2/11/23 about 10am. Eggy’s was a little difficult for us to find as it’s tucked away amongst the skyscrapers and across from a dog park. But sure glad we did find this restaurant. They were busy (which is good imo) but were seated promptly. We were seen quickly and ordered coffee. Our mugs were filled and a small stainless steel carafe was left at the table. Coffee was absolutely delicious. I typically do not use creamer and didn’t need any. They use Collectivo beans and sell bags in the restaurant (we had to buy one). My wife used the half and half on the table but they do have almond creamer available for an extra charge. I had the Eggys Benedict, which is two mini Belgian waffles, topped with generous amount of pulled pork shreds (crisped up on the flat top), two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I haven’t had or seen anything quite like it at any other restaurant and did not regret the decision. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Everything was fresh and hot. My wife had the Colorado omelette which she also enjoyed tremendously. Fast, friendly service. Great coffee. Nice view of the park and skyscrapers too. Reasonable prices for Chicago :) Loved it would return.

Unfortunately I can not tell you how the food tastes here but here is my experience: On September 2, 2025 at 8:19 am I placed an order through the restaurant’s website for delivery because I had a gift card to use. After placing my order, it was assigned to an uber eats driver but it was never picked up. I spoke with the manager, Freddie, not once but twice in his attempts to resolve this issue. He explained to me that my food had not been picked up and that they use a service called Toast that allows for door dash or uber eats drivers to pick up the order. He also told me that he was able to get in contact with someone from Uber Eats and they would be sending a new driver within 5-10 minutes and that my food would be made. Unfortunately I NEVER received my food. I called back 2 hours later, my food had not been picked up and there were no delivery updates (i did my part trying to get in contact with uber eats for a new delivery driver but because they use Toast, uber eats was unable to help me) Around 2pm my order was canceled, I called and spoke to a worker who told me I was refunded but could not give me an exact answer on whether or not the refund would be going back to the gift card I paid with or not. She took my information and told me that a manager would call me back. After checking the gift card balance I was NOT refunded. I called again to speak with the manager to get a refund back to the original gift card or a new one and nothing. Since then I have not heard back from anyone at the establishment, even after I’ve called multiple times. So I’m pretty sure the food is great but they have no urgency when it comes to accommodating customers that use their website to place orders. Don’t place an order online because there’s a chance you won’t get it. Dont buy gift cards from them for...

We had the most awful experience a few weeks ago. We went in with a group of eight people, we were all visiting Chicago from St. Louis. After getting seated we waited for about 10mins and our waiter wouldn’t come take our order. We were seated next to the cashier stand so asked the cashier if she could get our waiter. The waiter comes reluctantly to get our order. You could tell he did not want to wait on a large party. Or maybe it was because some of us were speaking in Spanish and he didn’t want to serve Hispanics. He looked annoyed. He brings waters and the glasses are disgusting. One glass even had leftover residue from food or something, it was disgusting. It took forever to get our drinks. One of our friends ordered a specialty cold coffee and never even got it. When our food arrives our server never came to check on us. We waited and waited and even tried to catch his attention to get the bill and he ignored us on purpose. We finally ask the cashier lady for our bill and she goes over to the waiter to work out the bills. My husband and I get overcharged with everyone’s coffee and tea order and the waiter refuses to fix our bill. And we never had water refills because our waiter never came back to our table. And while it was a weekend brunch it was not so busy that he couldn’t come to us because we could clearly see him waiting on other tables. Awful awful experience do not recommend this place to anyone the service is horrible. While the food was okay (not great) the service is horrendous. If I could leave them a negative star review I would. Do...

Wish I could give 0 stars. Came here looking to have brunch for 2. Arrived around 11:15 am and we were seated outside. It took about 10 minutes to receive our waters but I wasn't too bothered. About 10 or 15 minutes later, someone came and took our order. About 45 minutes passed and we saw everyone else receiving their food. Our waitress came and asked if we received our food and I said no. She came back a few minutes later saying she apologized but the kitchen was "backed up." That wasn't the case considering there were multiple tables who arrived and ordered after us, by about 30 minutes, and already had their meals. Another 20 minutes went by and the waitress came back and apologized saying their was an issue with the grill for my eggs. I ordered the Eggys Benedict. Eggs Benedict are served with poached eggs so their are not cooked on a grill. She said she would comp the meal and said the food would be out in 5 to 7 minutes. About 20 minutes later, the food finally arrived. My whole meal was cold to the touch. I told the waitress who brought out the manager. The manager offered to cook my meal again and it was ready in 5 minutes. It was actually hot and the meal was okay, most likely ruined by my anger of waiting. Would have left sooner but we already waited and hour and a half so might as well eat mediocre food for free. I'm sure this is a once I a million issue, but I'm sure our order was lost and wish the waitress would have checked on us sooner to figure out what...
