Five Guys — Restaurant in Chicago

My daughter and friends visited Five guys after a day at the beach. When trying to get situated and turn on their phone, before ordering and getting ready to pay with apple pay. When the cashier and manager became hostile with them. My daughter explained to them repeatedly calmly that they weren't hanging around and we're simply trying to order food and eat, but needed her phone to turn on to pay for their meals. Being that she doesn't carry cash, to prevent ever getting robbed. The man became very aggressive and chased them out of the restaurant all the way to the middle of the street. When my daughter and her friends express the fear and how unsafe they felt. The man kept saying, "What are you going to do, taunting them. He even cross the street with them . My daughter called me immediately before we decided to report it to the police. These employees we're unprofessional and definitely racial profiling, my daughter and her friends. They we're aggressive and a threat to their well-being. I understand the city can be unpredictable, but this was unacceptable and does not represent a welcoming, safe environment for anyone...

We went here after attending Lincoln Park Zoo lights on 12/15/22. There were 20 minutes left until close.

We ordered and were immediately informed of the closing time.

There were 3 of us. As we each got our food, the manager said 10 minutes til closing. By the time I got my food, he says 5 minutes until closing.

As we are eating, he says 3 minutes til closing. Even sends a employee to our table to stress the time.

I have NEVER been harassed in a restaurant in my entire life. Most restaurants will simply close the door at the appointed time and allow you to complete your meal.

I've worked in fast food before. I know when the door closes, you're not walking out the door 5 minutes later. There are procedures that have to be completed.

We were in a small table, chatting low, and not the least messy. I have never been so angry in my ENTIRE life about a dining experience. I had to literally choke my food down.

The place has the worst service ever! We went there with my family and 3 of 4 burgers were made incorrectly but we just asked them to remake one and the manager Rosie gave us mad attitude over it and was actually arguing with us. I went and asked my husband what was wrong and he said she didn’t agree that they made a mistake so I had to argue that there wasnt even a full patty of meat on my burger and that my husband ordered bacon on his which was missing. Eventually she yelled at the cooks to make them but while she did she kept telling them that they don’t know what they are talking about but we do just make it. Then as I’m waiting for my order she’s complaining to the next customer about me. It was so ridiculous. Never going back there again. And the burgers aren’t that great and fries aren’t even home cut, they come in a bag before frying and you pay $6 for each order. For that kind of service...
