This is my favorite dive bar in Chicago, they always have great drink specials. On Tuesdays it's $2.50 for anything, except patron, Sundays it's $2.50 beers there's happy hour everyday. The bartenders aren't always the brightest, but it's still a great place. It's open air in the summer, the only downside is men's bathroom is downstairs. Also everyday, cheap Guinness and Jameson, so don't miss it if your looking for a cheap Irish pub in Chicago.

Very disappointed, was so looking forward to going to a nice bar in USA for first time, Decor lovely, nice location. Sadly my drink was not what was supposed to be; I have drank the same drink for 36 years so i know the taste and colour. The drink that i was served from a Southern Comfort bottle was not Southern Comfort. It was sweet and nasty and totally different colour. Even my teetotal husband could tell difference. Photos show the difference.

Is it Halligan or Halligan’s like I get that it says Halligan Bar as the name but why is it Halligan and not Halligan’s that doesn’t make sense to me. This place is always a great spot to grab a drink, they have plenty of televisions to watch any game you want. They have a gorgeous patio with plenty of seating as well as a connection to the next door Hook and Ladder. Great establishment.

Open late on a Wednesday night, which was great considering many places around there closed at 10. Keep this spot in mind for after show drinks if you go to the Park West theater. The mixed drinks (I had a gin & tonic) were good, and the service was good (and it's the first time my bartender was wearing lululemon 😂). The music, a mix of rap, dance, and country that night(!!), was pretty loud, but it was still fine to talk. Stepped outside for a moment and when I came back, one of the barbacks was throwing away my beer. When I stopped him, he told me "[my] goofy ass just walked in." I tried to respectfully inform him that this was not the case to which he proceeded to yell in my face, which was gross because spit was flying out of his mouth. If you are a girl you wouldn't recommend this place as I am not. No wonder it's only just a bunch of dudes and it's because the girl blonde bartender is extremely rude to girls so when I asked for my tab after one drink so I could leave and waited awhile I finally asked with cuping my hand with my mouth to project my voice instead of yelling and the bartender flipped out and "kicked" me and my GF out as we already had our tab and were on our way out.
