If you’re in the South Loop and not stopping at Industry Ales, you’re absolutely missing out. This place is a hidden gem for cocktail lovers, beer enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates next-level hospitality.

Let’s start with the star of the night—Jimmy, the amazing bartender who deserves all his flowers! Not only did he create a custom cocktail tailored to my exact preferences (smooth, a little sweet, and balanced), but he also let me try a new drink that’s not even on the menu yet. They haven’t named it yet, but I was even lucky enough to throw out a few fun suggestions. How cool is that?

The drinks here are creative, bold, and visually stunning—from beer tastings and frothy pints to the prettiest cocktails you’ve ever seen. Each one had its own vibe and character, and the variety makes it a playground for people who want to explore new flavors.

The ambiance is polished but relaxed with a Japanese flair, making it perfect for a casual drink or a date night. The bar itself has a gorgeous stone top and a backdrop that shows off an impressive lineup of liquor and beer taps. They’ve nailed the details without losing the soul of what makes a place like this great—personal connection and authentic service.

Whether you’re just grabbing a drink, celebrating something special, or want to taste-test something completely original, Industry Ales is a must-visit. Friendly staff, inventive drinks, and an experience that makes you feel like a regular—even on your first visit.

10/10 – Go for Jimmy, stay for the vibes and...

We stopped here to pregame before watching the Cubs game elsewhere. We ended up staying for the game. Waitress was very nice and recommended the Urbs in Horto cocktail for my girlfriend: was delicious- 5 stars. I ended up getting one too. I ordered Tokyo-style smash burger (Imanaga was pitching; just felt right) and it was delicious. Burger wasn't super juicy but everything together including beer cheese was great- 4.5 stars. Daughter got brownie and loved it. Order flights of beer and several old-school Chicago cocktails. Wonderful place. Cubs won. Great night! Bartender was outstanding (not said lightly, most places make bad cocktails) and made an excellent whiskey sour. Staff and service were great.

Food: 4+ stars (hard to judge without going back) Drinks: 4+ stars; interesting cocktails and craft beer Service: 4.5+ stars (a little slow at times but super nice and accommodating) Atmosphere: 4.5+ stars (limited TVs for games but got us perfect seat to watch on big projector, cool vibe; has upstairs and downstairs but didn't see and not sure if basement is...

We stopped by this new gem in the loop to watch the Kentucky Derby, and despite our horse missing by a nose(!)... we had an incredible time, from the moment we stepped in to exploring their menu and catching up with friends. The atmosphere was wonderful and welcoming and the food amazing.

We tried several dishes from their menu. Each one perfectly prepared with premium ingredients. However, it was the steak that stole the show, boasting unparalleled tenderness and succulence. And how could you forget their stout beer which they brew in house – cold and delicious, with a smooth texture and burst of slightly chocolate and coffee flavor.

Industry Ales exceeded our expectations with its perfect trifecta of exceptional cuisine, friendly amazing service, and remarkable brews. Whether you're a local in search of your new go-to spot or a traveler looking for a cozy haven with culinary excellence, you should definitely try this place. We're already planning our...
