Came upon Pazza Pizza when in search of late night pizza spots. Had not been so decided to give it a shot. To my range of various pizza places I have visited this is definitely on the very low end of pizza places in Chicago. I am SO confused by these reviews who identify it with being a New York slice, in New York stars, this would be a 1… FOR EFFORT! I guess the slices of pizza offered here can be considered a ‘NY slice’… if you’ve never been there? Ordered a regular cheese pie to get a real taste of what this establishment has to offer and on the first bite was immediately filled with disgust as I felt a puddle of grease drip down on my tongue from the pizza. Put that slice down and stomached through it. Was not a big fan of the big aroma of garlic, to my surprise. Realized about half of the pizza was very very drenched in grease, and I’ve seen moisture from sauce, from cheese, but on this box was moisture from neither of those. It was all coming from the grease which accumulated in some certain pockets of pizza slices. Picked out the slices which were bearable and were lucky enough to not to touch any residue. Slices were okay… Ratio was not there. Cheese was overpowering for the rest of the ingredients, did not get a good taste of the crust, and less of the sauce! If you literally want a couple cheese slices thrown on a thin pizza crust, this is your place. For the price point was very disappointed to hear there’s happy customers paying $5 a slice for this? For that price point you can get a much better slice at various places in the city in terms of quality and taste. I’ve visited too many unique pizza establishments and this is extremely close to Sarpino’s if you just ruined a couple things here and there. If you’re a fan of Sarpino’s and/or low quality cafeteria food, you might just love this place. Will definitely go out of my way to...
Read moreI was looking for a decent pizza place to order from and stumbled upon this restaurant. Their garlic knots, generously covered in garlic butter, are absolutely mind-blowing. But the pizza was completely next level. I got the hawaiian pizza (sorry, not sorry) and it was AMAZING. Perfectly cheesy, not too greasy (but also not dry), and the ham was placed generously all over the pizza along with small pineapple chunks that added a tiny touch of sweetness and accentuated the ham flavor. Eating this pizza was like there was a symphony of flavors happening in my mouth, and, I swear, I just had a dream about it. While I enjoyed the pizza from the comfort of my couch, I will definitely have to stop by and sit in for the entire experience. I don’t have any pictures of the food, because it just disappeared too quickly, but I will try get some for the next time and update this review. This is the pizza I was waiting for my entire life. This pizza will make you forget about any argument you have ever had in your life. This is the pizza that will make you feel alive again and will make your heart feel love again. This is the pizza everyone says they make, but they can never reach THIS perfection. I will NEVER forget about this pizza and I know you won’t either. Thank you Pazza Pizza!
EDIT:...
Read moreI don't want to even give 1 star. I’m incredibly disappointed. My family and I were on vacation and decided to order from Pazza Pizza through DoorDash. While DoorDash’s service was smooth and reliable, the same cannot be said for Pazza Pizza.
We ordered a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. The pizza was passable—nothing special—but the garlic knots were absolutely unacceptable. They were completely burnt, blackened to the point of being inedible. I attempted to eat one and immediately had to throw it away after a single bite.
What’s most frustrating is that these garlic knots should never have made it out of the kitchen, let alone been packaged and sent to a customer. It shows a complete lack of quality control and care. The staff at Pazza Pizza should be ashamed for serving food in that condition. It ruined what was meant to be a simple, enjoyable meal...
