Three Happiness Restaurant — Restaurant in Chicago

I have been going to this place for about 4 years I have enjoyed their food their service has been okay they don't really speak English but you can order your food pretty easily. Yesterday I decided to take my family out for dinner there and couldn't stop raving about how much they would enjoy this restaurant. We order our food and we got our appetizers finish them pretty fast and 35 minutes later we're still waiting for the rest of our meal so my husband said let me go talk to the hostess and find out what's going on so he goes to talk to her tells her that the food is taking too long and we were considering canceling my order if the food wasn't there in the next five minutes and she started with an attitude and long story short she started screaming at him she started telling him that she wasn't his waitress or his servant so he shouldn't be talking to her and she's doing this entire time yelling and screaming and the entire restaurant is looking at him so from my table not far from them I chimed in and said calm down you don't need to be screaming and yelling and you don't need to have an attitude I'm sure we can work it out and she's like if you want to leave leave and she was screaming at me and then she told me that she wasn't having an attitude as she was screaming and I wasn't even raising my voice then she turns around and she goes b* to me really loud the entire restaurant heard her so my husband and I walked out with our children this is supposed to be a family restaurant the hostess behaves like this and can get away with it. That's not okay instead of someone coming after us to ask us come back let's fix this they didn't they follow us and asked for the money for the appetizers. They didn't care or apologize for her behavior or Nothing at All. I could not believe this it was a terrible experience for my kids and they were pretty upset about it and they didn't even want to eat after . I will most definitely never be returning to this place I will never recommend it to anyone again and I used to recommend it. Thanks three happiness for not giving a s about your customers. I even call them today to ask for their manager to complain and was rudely told they don't have a manager because they are...

So, I used to come to this place since like 2014. I used to work at connies pizza which os nearby and we would come after work for some good food. HOWEVER NOW SEPTEMBER 2024 this place has gotten TERRIBLE. As a local here in chinatown I go there very often and they made mistakes with my orders and I've let it slide given them the benefit of the doubt since their literally my neighbor restaurant. So, this weekend I placed and order over the phone. I go and pick it up and when I get home I realize my HUNAM BEEF has no beef whatsoever only vegetables so obviously I called back the person sounded dumbfounded and told me to bring it back. So, I do this time my husband comes with me because he thinks they're ripping me off after we just paid $50 for a small meal. (2 orders of eggrolls/smallshrimpfriedrice/spicyhunambeef). GUYS belive me when I get there there is a couple that was paying their tab and he was commenting on the rude waiter that was serving them and I can hear the staff member just saying okay sorry sorry I apologize. However, then there is another couple on the other side of this restaurant and they start to say negative comments of the other couple stating that their kind (hence being 2 black males) ALWAYS are looking to get things for free. So, he said this all in spanish and a fight literally broke loose INSIDE this restaurant for the RACIST comments that were being made to the black couple. My husband was being also threatened by this Costumer that CLAIMED HE IS FROM NEW YORK. So a whole fight broke loose in this restaurant my husband almost gets into a fight because he stood up for the black couple and then on top of all this I still didn't get my human beef and pretty much spend 50 bucks for nothing because after all this happen you can surely guess I didn't have no appetite left after such a terrible experience at...

This used to be the best spot in Chinatown but they have really let this restaurant go down hill. Upon walking in, it smelled like urine inside the restaurant. Upon being seated, we ordered our meals. We asked to START with two soups. Why the sizes of the soups were so complicated to order was concerning to begin with. We continue our order with two appetizers & then our plates. I asked for beef & pea pods only to be told that the plate would come with pork and shrimp. I just wanted beef as listed in the menu but it seemed like the meals were pre made & I couldn’t simply order beef & pea-pods, I had to get a combo of meats. So instead we ordered two shrimp fried rices.

Why did the rice come out first & in less than 3 minutes? We stayed we wanted to START with soup. Minutes later our appetizers can out. Still waited for soup. When the soups did come out the “small” was shareable for 2-3 & the pork was large chunks not even appetizing as it looked like they tossed an entire half of pork in the soup. The soups were also SCORCHING hot & seemed like they just came out of the microwave on high.

The egg rolls were average at least. The sweet & sour sauce that sits on the tables in the pourable handle was watered down. The crab Rangoon was clearly frozen. The rice was the best of the entire order & that was still the first item out — again in less than 3 minutes of ordering our entire meal so was this just sitting in back?

No water refills. One napkin per customer. Rude customer service as the ignore their tables & sit on their cell phones.

Upon paying with cash, the server didn’t bring our change as we requested & assumed we were tipping 20%+

Will never return. Will never recommend.
