As a taco lover, this place had been on my list for quite some time, and I was excited to finally give it a try. With a menu packed with creative and bold flavor combinations, I knew this would be a meal to remember. The first taco of the night was the Picnic Chicken taco, which offered a completely different yet equally satisfying experience. The rotisserie chicken was incredibly tender and packed with savory depth. The avocado crema added a silky richness, complementing the chicken perfectly. However, the warm honey-dijon potato salad. Its subtle sweetness and tangy kick made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal all on its own. Crispy chicken skin brought an irresistible crunch, while fresh cilantro added a bright note. All of these flavors came together in a soft flour tortilla, creating a perfectly balanced and unforgettable bite. Next came the Buffalo Chicken taco, and it was an absolute winner. It stole the show with its bold flavors and perfect texture balance. The crispy tenders were coated in a tangy, house-made buffalo sauce that provided just the right amount of heat. The sauce clung to the chicken, ensuring every bite was bursting with spicy flavor. Thinly sliced carrots brought a refreshing crunch, while the blue cheese crumbles added a sharp, creamy contrast to the heat. The ranch crema helped mellow out the spice with its cool, smooth texture. Wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, every bite was an explosion of flavor, spicy, creamy, and tangy, all working together in perfect harmony. The buffalo sauce paired with the cool ranch crema and bold blue cheese made this taco an undeniable favorite. The added crunch from the carrots and the crispy tenders elevated the experience to perfection. This taco wasn’t just good—it was crave-worthy, the kind of meal that stays with you long after the last bite.

Velvet Taco in Lincoln Park is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold flavors and creative taco combinations. The menu is packed with unique options that go beyond the usual, from the Spicy Tikka Chicken to the Slow-Roasted Angus Brisket—each bite is full of rich, well-balanced flavors. The atmosphere is lively, with a cool, modern design that makes it a great spot for a casual meal or late-night snack. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring you get your food quickly without feeling rushed. Their queso and elote are also worth mentioning—both are packed with flavor and make perfect sides to go with the tacos. And if you have room, their red velvet cake is a great way to end the meal. Overall, Velvet Taco delivers on taste, creativity, and service. Whether you’re a taco enthusiast or just looking for a great spot to grab a bite in Lincoln Park, this place won’t disappoint!

Last weekend, we went to our friend's place in Lincoln Park. We were wondering which place to go to, a place which is nearby, vegetarian and dog friendly and which has non-fried food options. Our friends suggested this place since it was at a walking distance and had different kind of Tacos (different than Taco bell for sure :P). We ordered Elote corn for appetizers and different Tacos such Nashville Hot Tofu, Falafel, Fried Paneer, Falafel for the main course. All Tacos were delicious and had similar kind of orange colored sauce but we really liked Fried Paneer and Falafel Tacos - they were simply delicious. We had these kind of Tacos for the first time and enjoyed the taste. I would recommend this place and their Tacos to all vegetarian folks living in the Chicago area.

I recently went to Velvet Taco with a few friends, and we all had a great time.I ordered the buffalo taco, which is made with crispy chicken tenders, buffalo sauce, Danish bleu cheese, ranch crema, carrots, and micro celery. The taco was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the buffalo sauce was flavorful and not too spicy, and the toppings were all fresh and delicious. I also really enjoyed the flour tortilla. It was soft and fluffy, and it held everything together perfectly. The service at Velvet Taco was also excellent.
