The bartender (fat guy with a constant mean face) gave the worst service ever. I asked nicely to turn down the lights and when he acknowledge me he was very condescending. I asked another bartender to turn down the lights and she did immediately. After a few mins the bartender I asked the first time turned the lights even brighter than it was previously so we decided to close out and never come back again. Who does that?!?!? Extremely rude service and an even more terrible person. Ive been going there for years and will never go again, sadly. They should've kept Jill. That fat mean muggin bartender should not be in the SERVICE Industry. He's a joke. Complete joke of a person. The other bartender was very friendly and seemed very uncomfortable even sharing the same space with him. I feel for her. I wish her and the doorman the best of luck. Let me just say that Jessica, Mike, and the remainder of the staff did a phenomenal job of taking care of my friends and I last Saturday.

I spoke with Jessica a week before and told her I would like to host my birthday get together at Wabash Tap but was hesitant because of the Gluten free beer selection. She ordered another type from her distributor before this past Saturday and the staff went above and beyond to meet that need along with offered a few more perks like reserved section and help with music. Everyone had a great time and I definitely found my new hangout for around that area.

I'll be going back for sure. If you're looking for a great dive bar in the South loop, this one is #1 in my opinion. Give the place a try if you have not.

I have never in my entire life had a worst experience at a bar, in any country I've been to. We arrived about an hour before closing time, and sat down with a beer. The staff seemed friendly and nice, but after about 15 minutes they told us we had to leave because they were closing. We asked for a bit more time to be able to finish the drinks we just started on, and the bouncer was already then starting to act really rude. He came back after five minutes, and started to threaten us to leave. When we stood up to put on our jackets, he told us he would call the police if we didn't get out at once. This was 20 minutes prior to closing time, and some people were still coming in at the same time. The bartender was also really rude and also threatened...
