Waterview — Restaurant in Chicago

The bar staff was stellar, but my girl Birdia made it next level. I'm guessing I looked lost, but she came up and asked me what she could do to help, and I ended up taking to her for a while and what a lovely human she is. I actually followed her around while she did her nightly checklist and regardless of the task, she was smiling and answering all of my questions without any hesitation or break. It's impressive to have someone who can tend to so much physical commitment while also beaming and welcoming a stranger into a space, and helping them feel at home when they're hundreds of miles away.

It's so nice to have people who make you feel comfortable, especially when they're in their first night at a new place. She didn't know it and neither did the bar/wait staff, which I think makes an even bigger statement. I had a work trip in the middle of a natural disaster at home, and having the comfort of kind people such as them has made the difference between being pulled away from my babies, to feeling like I'm finally on a break and I'm cared for. It's the little things in life and that's stuff you can't teach. I'm writing this so the management knows they've got good people. It was a tall order to make me feel comfortable about my time away from home, and they delivered and then some. I'm so happy to have lucked upon her tonight and that'll be a conversation I think about...

Visited for both dinner and breakfast during our stay and everything was amazing. First was the convenience of coming down from our room and immediately getting service. No struggling to find parking or navigating through traffic. All of our servers were FANTASTIC. Tom, our dinner server, was not only extremely attentive and friendly, he also had a wonderful energy and even sang a few lines of a song with us! Robert and Lorena helped us this morning through breakfast, and both were so amazing. Robert talked with us about Chicago sight seeing and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Lorena stayed on top of our drinks and service, and made sure we had everything we needed. Both were so kind and thoughtful. The food was delicious as so fresh. They accidentally made a mistake on our dinner order and it was corrected extremely quickly and actually improved our experience! We will be staying here again and will always eat at the restaurant...

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Lina and Ignacio at the bar absolutely deserve the recognition.

From the moment I sat down, Lina made me feel welcomed like a regular, even though it was my first time here. Her attention to detail, quick service, and genuine warmth turned a quick drink into a memorable experience. She clearly knows her craft and runs the bar like a pro, never missing a beat even when things picked up.

Ignacio brings the same energy, thoughtful, friendly, and sharp. You can tell he cares about the people he’s serving, not just the drinks. The two of them work in sync like a well-rehearsed duo, creating an atmosphere that’s relaxed, fun, and quietly professional.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels (even more bars) but rarely have I seen a team this dialed in. They’re not just bartenders, they’re the kind of people who make the whole place better.
