Burban Kitchen — Restaurant in Chico

My experience was fair after visiting this restaurant, but be aware what you see on their website isn't what you should expect at this restaurant. Their was definitely a few points I wish I knew prior to choosing this place last night. (side note: don't try to call ahead, Never before got an answering machine before saying how they didn't care about my business and won't get back to me if I left a message... simply eye opening for any business) Defiantly Expect a 30-45 min to be inside but their was outside seating (dependent on weather) -Service was extremely fast. Food came faster than I was expecting, waiter were less experienced (spilled half a drink), but were friendly. -They seemingly cut a few unnecessary corners on their entrees (porkchop is clearly cut in half to go further, and their steak had tons of grisel and was super thin). While tasting and cooked well, this made the meal feel cheap (half a porkchop shouldn't cost 28$) -The biggest thing to be aware of was there were SEVERAL inconsistencies between their "website menus" and the menus they serve you with. Several items from the web (meals and drinks) weren't on the actual menu, with many items being more expensive than advertised. I didn't like the lack of transparency, as I felt deceived into choosing this place when I could have had a better time...

Fun, new restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Great service. Clean bathroom with dim lighting. The appetizers were amazing!!!!!!! The pickled ginger with the ahi app was probably the most amazing I've ever tasted (I've tried a billion) and really really worked wonderfully in the dish. The Ahi and avocado on toast was so delicious, creamy and wonderfully seasoned. The charcuterie board was lovely and plentifully for the three of us to get a taste of everything without filing up before dinner. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection although the orzo was a bit too acidic for me, which is a shocker since I usually want more. There was a lot of fats in the orzo that I think they were trying to cut through, which also made it kinda heavy.
