What a fantastic deli! The moment we opened the front door the smell of fresh veggies slapped us right in the face. The menu is easy to understand and really straightforward; pick your meat, cheese, bread, and condiments. The chip selection is vast and they also have a whole bunch of other side dishes that you can order if you aren’t feeling the chips. Fountain drinks are self-serve, but the beer is not (for obvious reason). I ended up ordering a turkey and ham on wheat with pepper jack. The sandwich was absolutely to die for. Remember the fresh ingredients I mentioned at the beginning of my review? The meat, the cheese, and the veggies were all perfect. I came in assuming that they would skimp on the meat, like so many other sandwich shops, so I ordered two meats. I wouldn’t really call it a mistake, because I was delighted, but they put more than enough meat on their sandwiches so ordering the second meat wasn’t really necessary. The meat and cheese were both so flavorful and the lettuce had the perfect crunch; the lettuce was also shredded, which I prefer on my sandwiches. My kids got the tuna on wheat with provolone and absolutely destroyed it. They said that the tuna was really good. They also ordered sides of the bacon mac & cheese and it was phenomenal. I’m pretty sure I actually ended up eating the majority of the mac myself because it was that good. I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a killer sandwich in the Chico area.

I've been on a bit of a deli sandwich quest. My recent reviews will attest that I've not been able to find a place with both great bread and adequate filling. It's been one or the other or none. I thought a true delicatessen would fit the bill, so I checked out Spiteri's last Thursday for lunch. The line at 12:30pm is a testament to this place's popularity, and both the inside seating and huge outdoor patio were full. When we made it to the counter, we were helped by the nicest gal. I like that one person takes your order and makes your food, keeping things seamless for your entire interaction. The good?? This place loads up on the meat! It was generously portioned, and really tasty. The just ok?? The sandwich was leaking lol I'm not sure how else to describe it... and I'm not sure what the culprit was -- pepperoncini juice, mayo/mustard, pickles? Either way, it was a really messy situation... messier than any sammy in recent memory. The bad?? The bread. My sourdough roll was too tall to take a bite out of, and it was incredibly dry. I think you can even see how dry it is in the pic! Spiteri's is a beloved local institution, but I probably won't be back. My perfect deli sandwich is out there, somewhere. The food is really 3 stars at best, but I'm giving it 4 for the really nice service.

Whipped into Chico because I needed to see a Pilgrim about this and that. This nitwits brainwaves only work part time, causing my Slamtealer Crossway to malfunction, setting off a chain of events that only Rod Serling could explain. Well, with the aide of a Spangler's shaft I was able to get him to correct any issues going forward, and it didn't leave any bruises. After fueling up the Ram I asked the guy at the station where's the best place to eat...without hesitantly he spurts out Spiteri's Catering...it the best deli in the world! And, with a recommendation like that...I had to go. It was 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Long time Chico establishment and for good reason. This is my favorite deli in town. Maybe harder to find as it is hidden deep in a strip mall. Located off East Ave and Cohasset.

Large parking lot with plenty of parking. Single story, no steps, easy access for all. They have indoor and patio tables as well as to go.

They offer custom made sandwiches and daily specials. They make many salads, including potato, macaroni, mac n cheese, pasta salad, deli mushrooms, olives, perogies, fruit, etc. They have a large selection of delicious bread to choose from.

They have bags of chips and a fridge full of drink offerings, as well as fresh brewed ice tea and soft drinks. I love the crushed ice for fountain drinks.

Service is always fast and friendly. They seem to always staff appropriately for the crowd.

Pricing is fair for what you get. Always fresh and...
