I've been going to D'Angelos for decades, and thankfully they haven't gotten rid of the only sandwich I've ever ordered there, the legendary Number 9! They've modified the name and options some, but the same ridiculously delicious thing is still there!!
I am overjoyed that they finally started using an POS order system that no longer requires the folks behind the counter to memorize the orders of customers! I can't tell you how many times I would explicitly say "No mushrooms", only to be back at my house opening the sandwich to find that they forgot to leave them out, ruining my meal. I mean, we're talking about the same type of thing that makes people's smelly feet itch. You want that in something you eat!?! š¤®
This location, the people were awesome, very friendly, laughed at my dumb dad jokes, and super upbeat. From the customer's point of view they definitely have an effective team built for themselves there. Oh, and they didn't put nasty mushrooms in my sandwich!
I actually resorted lying to the person taking the order way back when they memorized them. I would tell them that if I eat mushrooms but throat will swell up and I would suffocate because of the anaphylactic shock. That helped, but still didn't completely solve the issue. So a big thank you for whoever it was at D'Angelo Headquarters for fixing that issue and allowing me to not have to lie...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered from here here on 9/21 from app asked that my grinder be toasted when I picked up it wasn't toasted. So I called and was told the toaster was broken which I wish I was told a head of time my phone number is on my account as I can't eat a non toasted grinder the grease and stuff soaks the bread. I actually order alot from here and it's usually 5 stars. Since 9/21 I have called Chicopee store 3 times 9/23, 9/25 and today 9/28 and there toaster is not fix on 9/23 and 9/25 wasn't a huge deal as I just went to the Holyoke one but tonight I wasn't able to get to the Holyoke store before closing. I don't know why a large chain restaurant like D'Angelo hasn't had their toaster repaired or replace for at least a week. So other than that issue I would give 5 stars but since I ended up throwing out my grinder and the fact the issue still isn't fixed im leaving a generous 2 stars. Hopefully this issues gets a satisfactory resolution and issue is fixed then I can come back and redo my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a meatball sub and cup of clam chowder. Order took unusually longer than it should have. I live about 2 minutes from deangelos . When I got home, the chowder was ice cold, as if it came out of a cooler. Same thing with the meatball sub. The meatballs were ice cold????? So, I call them to tell them they are serving cold food that should be hot and the 12 year old working there gives me an attitude, he told me that the soup steamer and steam table holding the meatballs was not up to temperature yet. ( it was 8:30 pm . The shop closes at 9.) So, not only did he knowingly serve cold soup and meatballs, he had no problem giving me an attitude like .." how dare you call here and complain!!. Take your cold soup and screw!!!. I will NEVER go back to any deangelos. Too bad, years ago it was one of the...
