Bob Evans — Restaurant in Chillicothe

Sad to say for a family of four it took over 40 minutes for us to get our food we didn't even get any biscuits toast or rolls to start with even though they came with her orders. When she delivered the biscuits finally before the meals were ready, two of which were breakfast meals so it would have been nice to have hot biscuits with your breakfast. There were no rolls ever brought including the one's for one of the meals, two of the other meals were brought out afterwards. The toast for my breakfast meal was forgotten. I asked for the home fries to be put in a to-go container and they were not they were served on my husband's plate next to all of his other food which he was unhappy with. I asked for his toast to be toasted extra extra light and it was not, it was actually burnt around the crust and dark. When we first arrived we had to stand and wait for the hostess to get back to the podium to seat us, she wasn't sure if there was anywhere clean or available for us to say and we requested a booth. We were not offered dessert or any other items at the end of our meal we were just giving our check because our waitress had to go on break and said she would be back later no one else ever attended to us while she was gone. Upon checking out I was not saying or offer to come back again and the girl act like it was a big deal because I asked for a bag to put my to-go boxes in. We were from the next town so we decided to stop at this Bob Evans and this will be the first and only time we go...

This trip to Bob Evans was a trip like usual. Unfortunately. The food did not come out together, they stated that it needed a few minutes more to cook. But, when it came, it was cold. By the time we realized this, our waitress went on break, and no one else could help us. We found out about 15 minutes later, that she and the manager were on break together. We couldn't get around that. By the time another staff member stepped up to help us, we still did not have all of our food, we still had not seen our waitress, we couldn't get a check, (they couldn't figure out exactly what we ordered!) and everyone was clueless! So, we still had food most of us would not eat, who would want a cold sunnyside up egg? And we were held hostage until we settled our check!! So, we paid for the food on the table and left. We went down the street to IHOP and ate a wonderful meal with staff who were falling over themselves to take care of everyone in their dining room!! (And believe it or not, they were down a team member and they were training two new employees!!) Bob Evans has the great name, but IHOP wanted...

This is my favorite Bob Evans I have eaten at, I'm an older fellow but realize I have a tendency to judge things through the lens of life my experience as opposed to merely what is available at this time. As for this Bob Evans my wife and I keep coming back: our first visit was just after the building was built and we are here in the morning as we return from New York City it was new and very good; the next time was as we passed through the area maybe ten to twelve years later and surprising to say after the Bob Evans corporate change the food was very good and were received excellent service. Whenever we are passing through we stop here, however this last Friday we stopped and had brunch. We were greeted and seated, our server was attentive to all her responsibilities and the food, well the sausage patties were seasoned perfectly as I recall Bob Evans' "Farm Boy" sandwiches from my youth.
