Roosters — Restaurant in Chillicothe

We used to live in Columbus and we visited MANY different roosters locations, as we love roosters food, and all locations were stellar! The Chillicothe location, unfortunately, does not fall under that same description…I don’t think there’s ever been a time I’ve been completely satisfied with my meal. The last 2 take out orders we have placed have officially made me decide I will never eat at this location again. The last time we ordered, we got dumpster fries and were not given dumpster sauce in the container, the fried chicken salad was half wilted and that’s of the salad mix I received because it barely covered the bottom of the container with minimum toppings. Today’s order really did me in. The wings were tough as nails and barely sauced (you could literally see dry spots on every wing and barely taste the sauce). I ordered loaded nachos and only got chips and cheese, and the chips were stale at that. And my kids mini corn dogs were still cold in the middle. From now on, when I’m craving roosters, I will make the drive to waverly or circleville before I spend more money at this location. I don't know why this place has such good reviews. I've been a somewhat regular customer there for years and the service has always been hit or miss. I don't know why I bother. You got waitstaff there that acts like their too good to serve some customers and flat out ignore some of their customers. On one instance, their marque advertised Reds games played here and it was prime time and the Reds were on during one of their better seasons in recent years. Not a single TV was on the Reds game and the staff refused to change a single TV to it. I tried ordering takeout from there for the TTUN game and they put us on hold which dropped as back down to 5th in caller line. So I drive to the restaurant and order and pay, go back to pick it up, show the receipt and they ask if I already paid. Give me a break, really?? Honestly, if I were the manager I'd fire most of the wait staff and do double duty to make sure my customers were well served and satisfied. I gave them one star, honestly I'd give...

Ok. I’m the optimist. The one who always has a reason for someone else’s shortcomings but tonight, I need to tell the story. I picked up dinner at Roosters for the first time ever for my family. We are traveling, have had a terrible day on the road and really needed an easy dinner. One ordered full order of chicken tenders (4). Only received a half order(2). So only half of her food. Another Ordered unsweetened tea. It was sweet. Ordered cheesy bacon tots. Didn’t get those at all!! Ordered well done burger. It’s cooked Medium. They bring out food to carside and forgot all the drinks. I wait another 5-7 minutes for the drinks. I see all these great reviews on here and I am shocked.
