I was not expecting to like this place as much as I did! The closest things I can compare it to are The Habit or Dog Haus maybe. It's quite a big menu for a casual dining order-at-the-counter place, and everything I saw looks deliciousssss. Even the salads looked beautiful and fresh and delicious and big portions.
My husband and I enjoyed everything we ordered. Our food took a little over 15 minutes to get to us, but it was at a nice warm temperature and tasted oh so good. ABC burger with chicken - Delicious! And a solid piece of chicken in there! I really enjoyed the whole thing and it was so filling. Short rib grilled cheese - Yummmmy. This was a gourmet take on grilled cheese, with a generous amount of meat and tasty jam inside. Cookies n cream shake - Very good! Great consistency where it wasn't too hard to suck (sorry In-n-Out, but my mouth muscles just aren't that strong), but not too liquidy. Perfect. Cookie Butter Crunch shake - Also yummy, but my least favorite of everything. The cookie was those cinnamon biscotti cookies, I think...like the ones Delta flights give? ... which are good, but not my favorite flavor.
Prices are high-ish, but I'd say it's worth it for the portion sizes and unique, delicious flavors.
They had sample cups of the house chips, which was really neat. They were good, but so crunchy that I think my mouth would have been tired eating much more than the sample cup size.
Staff came by every so often to see if they could take any of our trash. Good, friendly service :)
The restaurant itself was a little bigger than we were expecting, but most of the tables were filled on a Thursday lunch! Lots of TVs on, but it wasn't loud so still easy to have a...
Read moreMy 3 star rating is cost. Over $55 for two people. 2 burgers, 1 small onion rings 1 small chili cheese fries and 2 beverages. Only combo available are kids meals. There were a total of three bills in our party and the least bill was for their short rib GC, sweet potato fries and beverage was $26.
All employees were very kind & helpful for our first visit! Food was very good, cooked to perfection. You will be asked how you want your burger cooked. We all enjoyed our juicy sauced correctly burgers/sandwices, (no fry bits, onion rings golden brown, sweet potato waffle fries crispy and moist in the middle, Meyer lemon broccolinia was excellent) and hot on arrival to our table. Games were on TVs and we didn't have to shout over volumes. None of the TVs had cc on so you could read commentary, we were more focused on our conversation so no one at our table asked to see if that was a possibility. Plenty of inside and outside seating do not know if there were speakers out there to hear the games because at 102 degrees we sat inside. 😂 No photos for this review, by the time we thought about it we'd demolished most of our meals. I will say photos on menu website our true to what comes out of the kitchen at Chino...
Read moreThe Stand is one of my new favorite places! I was excited to see they were opening a new location in the Chino Hills shopping area, and couldn’t wait to try them out. This is my third time there in a week. Twice I’ve gotten the Big Blue and a chocolate shake, and neither disappoint!!!
The customer service is top tier as well. On my second visit I brought my mom and my boyfriend, and I wanted to try something different, so I asked the cashier for assistance. She was very patient with all 3 of us, as we were indecisive because multiple things looked good on the menu. We all ended up very happy with our choices. Matter of fact, my boyfriend and I came back 2 days later. Each time the food is just as good as the last, the ingredients are fresh and hot, and they’re not stingy with the sauces. I like to to dip some bites of the Big Blue in their charred jalapeño aioli! 😋
