Chippewa China House — Restaurant in Chippewa Township

Ordered 4x in a month. The first 3x our order was hot, fresh, and yummy. We always call in and pick it up. The 4th time we arrived at our pick up time. Waited inside for our order for 40 minutes. My husband is too patient to bug them, so he just stood and waited...I waited in the car. I think they forgot about us...or forgot to make part of our order. The cheese wontons were cold and greasy. The sweet and sour chicken was cold. The Kung Pao shrimp was hot, but sort of gross...most of it ended up in the trash. The first time that I had it, it was excellent.

But all of this isn't why I am giving only 1 star. It's the fish aquarium. It's heartbreaking!! One fish is too large for the tank and spends his life swimming to the left and then to the right. A smaller fish has ick on its scales. It is a very cruel existence and because of the fish aquarium we will never support this establishment again.

The food sucked, but the aquarium sucks much more!

Get a BIGGER tank or donate the fish to...

Asked for a substitute on phone lady said okay when I got there she said they don’t have that but did substitution anyway. Got home missing things some food was burnt. Too late to call that night as it was closed. I called about it owner the very next day when opened and she offered refund. Went to get refund the owner wanted to fight. I said we come here all the time never had a bad experience until now wanted her to know what was missing and went wrong. She was rude said that’s not true. She goes don’t come here again. I go you weren’t on the phone with me when I placed order so you don’t know what the conversation was. She said I have a camera I looked at what the worker said to you. She continue to fight said they only made one mistake. I go if you want to fight I leave but you said you would refund me I have somewhere to be. She continue I go alright I’ll come back another day for refundand call again. She goes no here don’t come back your not welcome here.very expensive and rude...

I wanna start this review off by saying that my family and I get food from here on a regular basis. We live in Ellwood City. As soon as the order was placed my husband and daughter headed right there to get the food…. Just to be told, sorry we couldn’t make Your order… I guess the lady stated that she tried to call me right back, but I have no missed calls or voicemails on my phone. Regardless, it doesn’t matter she shouldn’t have taken my order, knowing that she wasn’t going to fulfill it. And what really upsets me is that they were still doing business, passing out orders when my husband got there so why is it ours could not be made?!!!!! She didn’t even offer to do anything to make it right!!!! Horrible customer service!!! I doubt I’ll ever go back there. I am so disgusted and upset.!
