This place after 15+ years of going is still hands down the best in our opinion. We highly recommend the cheese fries and chili cheese dogs. A severely under the radar menu item that is or atleast was really good is the wedding soup. Also if you want an interesting but taste alternative go in for breakfast if your local one has it. Now service was cheerful despite being slammed during lunch rush. They stayed neat and organized during the rush no orders were mixed up. The staff handled conflict well when a customer changed her mind as to how she wanted her items organized after she placed her order. Delegation of responsibilities was well given and taken when a spill was made by the same customer as above. Finally on staff the cooks were well organized and kept up well with rush they stayed ahead of the game changing out items before they ran out and helping each other in a way typically not seen anymore in a kitchen. Management stepped up and helped at cash registers and even on cooks line it was nice to watch. The atmosphere at this hot dog shop was family oriented while loud also peaceful while busy still clean and respectful. So on a scale of one star to five stars I wish I could give five and a half stars. Keep up the great work and let it be known kitchen staff we see you too thank you all for helping make Father's day oh so much more enjoyable and thank you for your continued support of the community and fantastic service. Oh almost forgot the prices are epically fair for what you get thank you for not...
Read moreLove hot dog shoppe, its a beaver county staple, and you have try try it. With that said, I feel bad for the employees. Managers are always yelling at them, really yelling, not managing. Unfortunately its goes higher than that as well. On this particular occasion I witnessed an employee who was higher than a manager, yell at a young girl, in front of a whole line of people. Their terrible credit card was system having issues as usual, and she made the mistake of asking for his help. I pointed out to him that he should be nicer to his employees and quickly left. This man came out of the crowded restaurant behind me and proceeded to question what I said. I told him to be nice to his employees AND his customers. He told me to leave the property. Ok, I was leaving anyway dude. After years of working in customer service, I know what that girl felt like when he spoke that way to her. And I know that he was out of line. No district manager or possibly owner should ever feel like he is allowed to treat employees and customers like that. So yeah, get hot dog shop, its great, but be really nice to your waitress because she's probably ready to walk...
Read moreResponse to owner: I think you should send someone over to the Chippewa location and spy because my home fries were definitely deep fried like french fries and the bacon was too. I posted pictures in the photos. Also, there have been many problems with hamburgers being under cooked and after a couple of times it was brought to the managers attention but the excuse given was that can't be true because our other manager that's been there for years is on the grill. Same women was cooking this morning. I've been coming there since a child and so have my parents for 50years I promise you what's being served is not the same and giving you honest reviews isn't done because there is nothing better to do or just wanting to complain it's honest and your sales will show a decline because that location used to be packed and now McDonald's is busier that should tell you something.
Used to have the best breakfast in town and the place was packed every morning now it's terrible doesn't taste good home fires are deep fried and so is the bacon and it tastes like grease. Have to ask them to melt the cheese on your eggs. They changed owners and it's...
