I went here with my wife on bingo night. It was SO fun! The bingo host even did a bonus round, which was an extra fun surprise. There was a real welcoming family vibe, which was awesome and made me want to be a local! Now to the food - WOW! Everything was a hit! My wife had the special, which was pulled pork sliders with coleslaw IN THE SLIDER - so juicy and delicious - with a side of fried onion pedals which were to die for!!!! I stole many! I was almost jealous that I didnāt order that, but my Buffalo chicken salad SLAMMED!!! - loaded with flavor in the best way. The fried buffalo chicken was crispy on the outside and so juicy and soft on the inside and they added the perfect amount of blue cheese crumble, which were all small bits, but plenty of them so you had a little in each bite without it being overwhelming. AND you got to choose a dressing on the side - I chose blue cheese dressing because I LOVE me some extra blue cheese. Iām sad I didnāt get a chance to take a picture of the fried Oreos, but we (I) ate them too fast!! ššš they were absolutely divine and I could have drank the caramel sauce! I wish I could give more stars!! Phenomenal place, AC on the inside, great staff, awesome vibes on the patio, and delicious food! What more can...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I come to STX once or twice a year and occasionally bring friends or family to āintroduce themā to the island we love so much. This time we happened to bring a large group of cousins and their spouses, and there was nobody else who was willing to accommodate 17 people on a Tuesday night. Unfortunately, our group werenāt the easiest customers to deal with (the idea of āisland timeā is completely foreign to most of them and they donāt yet know how to appreciate it). I was horrified at how a few of us were interacting with the waitstaff, who were very sweet and doing a valiant job trying to juggle a party of 17 with lots of drinks and mostly separate checks. I snuck away from the table to apologize profusely to the staff (who were so understanding and doing their best to handle a rowdy group in the middle of Bingo night). So apologies aside, hereās my review: the atmosphere is so much fun, the back patio is beautiful, the food is some of the best Iāve had on island, the owner is kind and amazing, and the staff are troopers. We (without the large group haha) will be loyal customers of this awesome place on every return...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe finally decided to try Common Cents since the last time we ate here it was Tavern 1844.
Got in the door right at 5pm.
Ordered š»two beers, chips and salsa andš tuna poke for apps.
Tuna šwas great and served with fried wonton chips. Very tender perfectly spiced tuna. Chips were tri colored chips served warm with fresh salsa.
For dinner, GF did the Ceasar salad with blackened chickenš I did the Nashville hot chickenš with fresh cut fries.
Ceasar salad was great, the blackened chicken was spiced good but too dry.
The Nashville chicken was good, very spicy. Two big strips on a piece of grilledTexas toast, fries were not very hot otherwise it wasn't too bad of a meal.
Did I say it was spicy, I swapped the side of ranch for a cup of extra hot sauce. š„ that was a mistake, dipping and eating the chicken š with that extra sauce cleared out my sinuses, made me sweat and burned š„ out my taste buds. I won't do that again.
Add in 5 beers š»and the total was just under $90 without tip.
PS Star Wars and Ghost Busters pinball in...
