Purple Papaya — Local services in Christiansted

The clerk was extremely rude. We asked for a restroom. She said there wasn't a public one available. The only restrooms were at the restaurants. We then asked where the closest restaurant was because my elderly parents needed one badly. She practically screamed at us that there were "No public restrooms in the whole city!!" Cool. We just asked for directions to a restaurant. We are NOT rude or arrogant, demanding people. We try to be courteous and always help others and treat them with kindness. My first thought was this place is a little high priced but what do you expect at a tourist gift shop. Nonetheless I did a little shopping and when I checked out, I questioned the cashier about my total because it seemed a bit high. She said all necklaces are 12.99. I didn’t push at it because I was in a hurry. So I get home to pass out gifts and learned that I purchased a $12.99 necklace that was labeled at 3.99 and the clasps is broken! I do not recommend the purple papaya for their prices and customer service. There is another gift shop around the corner that is more reasonably priced and the service is better. I bought a necklace from here but, the brand was SKF. The necklace says stainless steel and no tarnish,etc. 4 days later the necklace chain broke off the necklace. I called the store to ask if i could return, to get another one and they said it’s out of their hands. The necklace pendant is beautiful, but the chain is cheap. But it cost 40 dollars.
