My 4 Stars are based on Pepe, food quality and taste. The food was good – very good I ordered a lobster bisque Soup, baguette turkey sandwich with house fries and coleslaw. Also ordered chicken Alfredo fettuccine, garlic chicken wings those were OK, chicken noodle soup which is also very good. The female server, I believe her name is Claudia. She was new and lacked attention to detail and no multitasking skills whatsoever, I felt as she had never waitressed. Simple things like utensils, napkins, spoons for the soup, refilling our water glasses, leaving us unattended for long periods of time. And she stuck her thumb inside my soup bowl, she didn’t seem to know how to grab the bowl properly. Overall her service was terrible and I give her half a star. Pepe, Mr. Do It ALL! Because of his attention we will return. The little extra effort that he made to make up for the lack of service from our server did not go unnoticed throughout the night he brought us appetizers’ and dessert on the house. And the bloody Mary that took the waitress 20 minutes to never bring to the table LOL he made up for it by making a very strong bloody Mary for us. In regards to the ambience and decor We loved it!

A Top-Notch Gem in Chula Vista! As a local, I frequent this spot regularly—and honestly, the service alone keeps me coming back. The food is artisanally crafted and made from scratch. My go-tos? The Kung Pao Chicken with grilled chicken with rice—both are consistently flavorful, satisfying, and feel like comfort food done right. The chicken is always cooked perfectly, and the balance of flavors is spot-on. Medi and Dan behind the bar are incredible hosts. Their energy, attention, and genuine appreciation for regulars make every visit feel like home—even if I show up late. They’re always welcoming and happy to serve with a smile and conversation. The fact that you can get this level of food and service 24/7 is exactly what South Bay has been missing. Whether I’m grabbing late-night bites or bringing friends for a chill night out, this place delivers—great atmosphere, warm service, and delicious, “homemade” food. My only complaint? My odds at blackjack! Otherwise, this is hands down my go-to in San Diego for great food and perfect service and close to home!

Happy hour until 6pm half off entree prices and $2 off drinks! I loved the outdoor section of this resturant so much, that I forgot to take a picture of the food. I was thrilled to have a view of the water from our cozy booth. (5pm on a summer Friday and the place was empty- which made it nice and quiet, which I also loved) . We had 2 appetizers, 2 pizzas and drinks. Our favorite was the chicken bib lettuce wraps, which were a good size. I like the fresh ingredients on the Tuscan pizza. Menu had a nice selection. It was not an overly large menu. Pizzas were unique. Only 2- 3 salads. Lots of appetizers. Hostess and waiter were extremely nice.

I can’t believe that this place actually calls what they serve food. First of all when we went in there nobody greeted us. Nobody told where to sit nothing we just stood there and people stared at us. We had to stop somebody to find out if we just seed our self which they said sit anywhere, then we sat there for 15 minutes, waiting for somebody to come and take care of us which I had to go to the bar and get the attention of a bartender to come and take our order. I ordered the Duck wonton soup I don’t know what they put inside the wontons, but it certainly wasn’t duck or any other edible food. It was Like all the garbage you trim off of other meats and stuffed into the wonton then it had what was supposed to be shredded duck on top of everything that was not duck. It was chicken I cook and I eat both of those and definitely was not duck. Then there’s the pizza that they say is they’re famous dough. It had absolutely no rise. It was more like they had some high school kid learning how to make dough that made it. The pizza was barely edible and was very underwhelming by many standards. Then there’s the brussels sprouts, when they came out, they looked good, but they were cold and flavorless. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend anybody go there and waste their money, especially for what they charge for their plates. I will say that the soup was a good portion and the broth was good, but that was the only good part of it is why all I did was drink some of the broth and I sent the rest of it back. Don’t waste your time or your hard money garbage...

The Food Was Good ! Portions or servings were close to right sized ... Not too much, If you like having Left Overs this isn't your spot. Prices are a little on the high side, but what isnt at this time in history. The Staff Was Nice ... But either shorthanded, poor time management skills or still learning (hopefully). I believe it was a shorthanded problem ... Never got our drinks refilled from the initial service (this is a big strike for me), they weren't very busy. Some nice views in certain orientations in the outdoor dinning area. Guys should allow their ladies to sit in the booth with the West facing seat. The nature of the way the patio dining area is set up one person or side will have a pleasant view of the Bay and the Strand in the distance the other side will have an industrial view. I found it to be relatively pleasant even with the rush hour traffic noise from the freeway that was present but not overbearing or disruptive to conversation. Happy Hour ( that's the time period we experienced ) had some value perks that make it reasonable from a price stand point and they have a decent selection of plates to choose from ... The bar tab is also lower. They serve close to proper size portions. They have a mix of foods on the Menu which I found to provide variation and a broad choice without having a Three Ring Binder for a Menu. Overall, I intend to go back and try something else from the menu. Everything we did have was tasty. Hope this...
