IS THIS A REAL TORTILLERIA? Yes.. It's not like what you see in the movies. A factory inside of an empty lot with a hundred employee drones on an assembly line. Nope. Real deal machinery in a not so large location sandwiched between a staffing agency and a Chinese restaurant. Located in the Sommerset Plaza on the west side of the street. Oddly, there's a Sommerset Plaza on the east side of the street. The tortillas are freshly made and packaged right before your eyes.

ARE THESE EXPENSIVE? Hardly. A dozen of flour tortillas are only $2.85. I have 285 pennies in my car's cup holder. Aaargh.Why have I wasted my life with Mission Tortillas!

CAN THE TORTILLAS HOLD LOTS OF FIXIN'S? I am a corn fan mostly but these were very good with butter. These were thin enough for a taco but would not likely carry a lot of innards without breaking. Perfect to eat on the side. Small and large fresh tortillas. Wheat or white available.

These are THE best tortillas in San Diego! They do not use toxic oils! We Latins need to Stop eating foods with toxic oils. Our grandmas and moms did not cook with toxic oils, they used lard and beef fat And they were healthier than Latins are now. If you eat flour tortillas, please read the ingredients and stop buying them if they have oil and preservatives. Elice tortillas use lard or butter. The tortillas are soft and yummy. More and more companies that make ingredients for Latin dishes are using these toxic oils. We need to stop buying their products, so they will stop poisoning us. Super disappointed that they felt it was appropriate to sell me moldy flour tortillas. Is it because I don't speak Spanish?
