Alabama Fishbar — Restaurant in Cincinnati

I was in the area at a 21 Pilots concert and we had sat all day waiting to get into this concert. I took a walk to find a gas station or some kind of store to get some water and snacks. I walked to a gas station about a mile away, which didn't have many options and you couldn't even enter the store to see what they had, it was all done through windows. On my way back to the venue I walked past the Alabama Fishbar I went in and checked out the menu and decided to get 2 of the cod dinners. The price seemed to be very reasonable at 13.99 so I was happy to pay that for a fish dinner especially since we'd been on the curb for 14 hours waiting on tye gates to open for the 21 Pilots concert. The fish dinner came with fries, two pieces of bread, some grilled onions and peppers. When I day peppers I mean grean bell pepper, jalapenos, banana peppers. Plus came with all the condiments you could ever ask for. To my suprise the fish box came with 5 pieces of fish. So now the 13.99 was a really good deal. The fish itself was delicious but lacked seasoning. It was a very plain tasting batter that it was fried in but the fish itself was cooked to perfection. I took the fish and ate it with the onions and peppers and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area. I have to give you two thumbs up and 9.6 out of 10 on this dining experience....

It's always been a good Cincinnati staple and treat for as long as it's been here! The fried fish, fries, bread and onions are a good, tasty combination for a good price. It would be nice if the waiting area was bigger but that's how it's always been...crammed up waiting in line for your order or standing outside. I would definitely take visitors here for a quick, good carryout of fried fish! It's a no nonsense kinda place with straight to the point quick ordering and pickup lines. No big smiles and no great customer service. The people who complete the pickup line orders are always very pleasant though! The person taking the orders don't hardly look up, it's all business no smiles. Although the location is not the best, it has gotten much better and feels safe. I was very pleasantly surprised to have access to the parking lot directly across the street that offers free 15 minute parking! That's just enough time to get in and out with your order! No more double parking hoping not to get a ticket or get your car hit tryna get a fish dinner! The fish and fries are cooked fresh and the whiting platter is $13.99. I saw cod and perch fir few dollars more. They used to give you more f8sh and more fries though so it seems. Heck, years ago, the price was half what it now. But, these prices are still pretty reasonable for what you get and...

I will never spend another dime in this place ever again! I purchased 2 dinners on June 25th . Just to start eating and realize it was hair in my food. So I called immediately and explained what happened and was told to bring the remaining back to receive another dinner. Mine you I live in another county. So then the next day I started thinking I didn't want another dinner after seeing what was beard hair in my food. So I call again explained what had happened and stated I wanted a full refund. The guy I talked to told me to bring the remaining dinner back so I did. Just to get down there and be told they can't refund me because some of the food had been eaten. I requested to talk with a manager I was told he wasn't there and they had no phone number to contact. I knew that was a lie. I called the next day requested to speak with a manager 2 other people got on the phone before the actual manager did including the girl who told me she's not shortening her draw to refund me. I can hear her telling him what happened prior in "her" words. The manager got on the phone very rude just to tell me not even ask me what happened that she did right and he's going with his employee.
