In days of old, when the sun doth rise over the verdant fields of yore, there resided a guardian most dedicated to the sacred grounds now known as Ziegler Park. This noble steward, shrouded in mystery and legend, tended to the greenery with a love so profound that the very leaves would sing his praises in the gentle morning breeze.
T'was a time when each blade of grass stood tall and proud, each flower bloomed with vibrant fervor, and the pathways were ever so pristine. Many a dawn I did greet, only to find this tireless warden already at his toil, his hands calloused yet gentle, his spirit unwavering. Nay a dog went unpetted nor a shrub unattended under his watchful eye, for he possessed a kindness unmatched, a veritable St. Francis of the suburban realm.
Alas, as with all great legends, his tenure came to an end, leaving us to ponder the reasons behind his departure. The once-immaculate lawns now wear a shroud of neglect, the gardens whispering tales of his meticulous care. No longer do we awaken to the sight of his steadfast figure, nor do the hounds of the park receive their daily blessings of affection.
Wherefore hath our gallant groundskeeper gone? Did he embark on a noble quest, seeking to spread his horticultural wisdom to lands unknown? Or perhaps, as the bards would sing, he was summoned by the spirits of the forest, destined to tend to enchanted groves beyond our mortal ken. Whate'er the truth, his absence is felt deep within the roots of our beloved Ziegler Park.
Thus, dear reader, we remain in wistful reverie, longing for the return of the man who once graced our humble park with his unparalleled devotion and tender touch. Until such time, we honor his memory and strive to keep the myth alive, hoping that one day, the gardens may once again flourish under his...
Read moreGreat city park with some unusual playground equipment. Plenty of parking (meters and garage). Very clean, including bathrooms. Monitored by a playground attendant who keeps an eye on everyone, kind of like an official neighborhood guardian. (She found a set of unattended house keys and made sure the young owner wore them on a his key chain, so they wouldn't get taken/lost). Two friendly police officers were also on duty on the corner. There is a small green space too, big enough for small kids to kick a soccer ball. Beware of dog poop though. Dogs seem to be welcome, and there are dog poop bags and trash can, but apparently not everyone uses them. Hopefully the park attendant, officers, and neighbors can strongly encourage dog owners to respect the space and...
Read moreIt only takes a few to ruin it for those who do well in this case. After visiting the pool a lot this summer I realized during lap swim how gross it is. With goggles on I saw a diaphragm, at one time about a dozen open safety pins, every day there are band aids and hair weave at the bottom. Yesterday it was so disgusting that I told the staff of several objects which had been in the pool for days. Once the clock was off by about fifteen minutes for two weeks. By and large the lifeguards and staff are kind, but there are a couple life guards who sleep while they are watching their post and won’t enforce the adult swim. Once life guard was at the pool as a guest and he repeatedly broke the rules. Suffice to say management here is lacking. A few tweaks would...
