Tillie’s Lounge is one of our favorite establishments in the city! This bar manages to strike a balance that most can’t... it’s polished and well-decorated enough to avoid the “dive bar” label, yet still feels relaxed, homey, and completely unpretentious.

Drink prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere invites you to settle in and stay awhile. The bartenders are incredibly warm and kind. Special shoutout to Randy, Vince and Luna for consistently providing excellent service! The establishment is always clean, and the restroom upkeep is especially commendable, considering how tough it can be to maintain single-stall facilities in a busy bar environment.

Tillie’s hosts a variety of fun, themed events that showcase diverse and talented performers. We especially love their brunches and open stage nights—they’re always lively, inclusive, and full of great energy.

There’s a true sense of community and camaraderie among the regulars, yet newcomers are always made to feel welcome. The crowd is friendly but never overbearing, which adds to the overall charm.

Tillie's is one of the newest fixtures in Cincinnati's Northside community. On one level it is a neighborhood bar, but its reach is far broader. Housed in a building from the 1880s that was a shoe store for nearly nine decades, its decor hearkens back to the turn of the century when burnished dark wood and brass highlights were all the rage. But its name comes from a famous elephant in the Robinson Brothers Circus that charmed Cincinnatians so completely that schools were released for her funeral. Absolutely rude and disrespectful between the bartender and the house dj they seemed racist and didn’t want “black music” “hip hop or r and b” to be played cause they don’t want that kind of people in there bar but rented it out to have a silent disco and then was disrespectful to the guest djs and I am just in disbelief of how they treated the djs and let me say it was three different djs playing three different kinds of music and they were all great! Absolutely do no promote going here and will NEVER return because of what I witnessed here. Everyone I seen was having a great time besides one individual and because of one individual they suddenly were absolutely rude to these men. Worst establishment I’ve ever been to DO...
