Being from San Antonio, I'm kind of a Whataburger snob. So it pains me a bit to say that this was hands down the best tasting Whataburger meal I've had in my 40 years eating at this chain. The fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. And nice and hot. I gave the ketchup back because I didn't want anything masking the flavor of these beauties. I had the staple #1 Whataburger with grilled onions and no mustard (subbed mayo). That burger was sooo good. Part of it was the softest bun I've ever had at a Whataburger, part was the patty being seasoned really well, and part was the careful placement of the lettuce, tomato, pickles, and grilled onions. Folks, this was really good stuff. I hadn't expected to even see a Whataburger in Florida, much less find myself praising their offering. The building was older and there wasn't any comfortable booths to use, but the super friendly staff, overall cleanliness, and excellent food more than made up for it. Lots...
Read moreThe employees in the drive through were super nice and friendly. I was having a hard time hearing them because of the street noise (Eglin Parkway) The girl was really patient and understanding when I had to ask her to repeat herself. The patty melt I ordered was super dry. The meat was too dry,, the bread was almost black (over cooked), there was a small amount of sauce in the middle, but not spread around where you could taste it until the the 2-3 bites in the middle, not very good at all. The fries were fresh and hot, The sweet tea tasted like the container hadn't been washed in forever. The tea tasted old. My husband ordered a triple with everything, add cheese, add avocado. He ate all of his fries for the first time ever (he's not a fry person, more a baked potato person). He said his hamburger and fries were really good. The reason we love going to Whataburger. Excellent service and employees, off day on...
Read moreI used to like this place a lot until this happened. I waited in line for over 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches, and there were only 2 people ahead of me. While i was in line, i saw a girl through the window eating people's fries out of their orders. I took pictures and a video. She was licking all over her fingers and using her phone while touching people's food. I also asked for sweet tea.. It was watered down nonsense. When i told the kid in the window, he gave me an attitude and gave me a "tea" so sweet that it made my damn jaw lock up, and trust me.. Im from the south. I like some sweet, sugary tea. I called the manager up and told her about the girl eating peoples food and licking her fingers. Apparently that was the girls first day at work and would get a talking to. After over an hour of waiting and seeing massive health code violations, i got a free brownie.... Im never going back there again, which is...
