Beware fellow patrons! I have been a regular at The Craft Bar Fort Walton Beach for years. The staff even knew my name and order when I walked in! Tonight, I ordered two of my usual Bardstown Old Fashion drinks and was charged $40 for each drink and nobody said anything about them being double the normal price. Tonight, I had two Bardstown Old Fashions and a lamb burger and my bill with a tip was over $130!!!
Beware the price of your drinks! The restaurant doubled the price of their drinks and didn't tell the customer. Next door, a bottle of Bardstown used to cost $49.99. Tonight, I checked, it has gone up to $69.99 which is a far cry from needing to charge $40 per Old Fashion. It's the prerogative of the restaurant to charge whatever they want, but they did not inform the customer of the change! At times I've been a weekly patron of this restaurant and have on more times than I can remember gladly paid $20 per drink. Imagine ordering two drinks you always get, and a lamb burger and your bill is over $130!! When I mentioned my surprise to the waitress/manager who is new compared to some that have been there years; She said: "hey, that's just what's in the computer."
Ironically enough, the same bartender served me the same drink, a lamb-burger and a different drink last week and my bill was just over $50.
That's just not right.
I don't usually give horrible reviews like this of any restaurant. If I don't like a restaurant, I simply don't go back. This was a violation of trust. Looking at other Google reviews, I think their success here has caused management to abandoned responding to or taking feedback...
Read moreWe came with a party of 10. Obviously we know it could take a minute. We waited an hour and half and still hadn’t been sat. They let us sit in the outside patio as a waiting room. After about 5 minutes the manager offered us waters. As we waited we asked if we could just put tables together outside and eat there since the manager was already waiting on a table. He told us we couldn’t because he didn’t have a waiter for outside and that he was just the manager and he didn’t have time. After about an hour of waiting he finally offered us beer menus. My husband asked for three different beers and all the kegs had blown. Another guy with us also had the same issue before he got the one he wanted but was the end of the keg so it was half a beer. We waited another 15 minutes and my husband went in to ask for an update and we were told another 15 to 45 minutes. We finally asked for our checks for the beers we did drink and that still took another 10 minutes of waiting to do. We understand we had a huge party and the manager was doing the best he could to keep us content but watching table after table that had just shown up compared to us who had been patiently waiting for an hour and a half is ridiculous. We appreciate the manager for his kindness but we took our business elsewhere with 10...
Read moreI recently visited craft bar, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to our server, Nash. From the moment we were seated, Nash’s warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for the evening.
Nash was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine selection, taking the time to ask about our preferences and offering thoughtful recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal. Their attentiveness was impeccable—our glasses were never empty, and Nash made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.
What truly stood out was Nash’s genuine enthusiasm for creating a memorable experience. Whether it was their detailed descriptions of the menu, their patience in answering our questions, or their friendly conversation, Nash elevated our night to a whole new level.
The food, wine, and ambiance were outstanding, but it’s servers like Nash who make Craft Bar a place I can’t wait to return to. If you’re lucky enough to have Nash as your server, you’re in...
